1 Brothers, I couldn’t speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly, as to babies in Christ.
2 I fed you with milk, not with meat; for you weren’t yet ready. Indeed, not even now are you ready,
3 for you are still fleshly. For insofar as there is jealousy, strife, and factions among you, aren’t you fleshly, and don’t you walk in the ways of men?
4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” aren’t you fleshly?
5 Who then is Apollos, and who is Paul, but servants through whom you believed; and each as the Lord gave to him?
6 I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase.
7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.
8 Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.
9 For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s farming, God’s building.

Sodelavec za Boga
1 Bratje, nisem vam mogel govoriti kot duhovnim, ampak kot zgolj mesenim bitjem, kot nedoraslim v Kristusu. 2 Mleka sem vam dal piti, ne jedi, saj je še niste zmogli. Pa tudi zdaj je še ne zmorete. 3 Še ste namreč meseni. Mar niste še vedno meseni in zgolj ljudje, dokler sta med vami nevoščljivost in prepir? 4 Mar ne ravnate zgolj po človeško, če kdo pravi: »Jaz sem Pavlov,« drugi pa: »Jaz sem Apolov«? 5 Kaj je vendar Apolo? Kaj je Pavel? Služabnika sta, po katerih ste prejeli vero, in sicer kakor je je komu dal Gospod. 6 Jaz sem zasadil, Apolo je zalil, Bog pa je dal rast, 7 tako da ni nič tisti, ki sadi, in nič tisti, ki zaliva, ampak tisti, ki daje rast, Bog. 8 Kdor pa sadi in kdor zaliva, sta eno. Vsak bo prejel svoje plačilo po svojem naporu. 9 Božja sodelavca sva, vi pa ste Božja njiva in Božja zgradba.

20 Naša duša pričakuje GOSPODA,
on je naša pomoč in naš ščit.

38 He rose up from the synagogue, and entered into Simon’s house. Simon’s mother-in-law was afflicted with a great fever, and they begged him for her.
39 He stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her. Immediately she rose up and served them.
40 When the sun was setting, all those who had any sick with various diseases brought them to him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
41 Demons also came out from many, crying out, and saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of God!” Rebuking them, he didn’t allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.
42 When it was day, he departed and went into an uninhabited place, and the multitudes looked for him, and came to him, and held on to him, so that he wouldn’t go away from them.
43 But he said to them, “I must preach the good news of the Kingdom of God to the other cities also. For this reason I have been sent.”
44 He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.

Jezus ozdravi veliko ljudi
38 Vstal je, odšel iz shodnice in stopil v Simonovo hišo. Simonova tašča je imela hudo vročico in prosili so ga zanjo. 39 In sklonil se je nadnjo, zapovedal vročici in jo je pustila. Takoj je vstala in jim stregla. 40 Ko je sonce zahajalo, so vsi, ki so imeli bolnike z različnimi boleznimi, te privedli k njemu. Na vsakega izmed njih je polagal roke in jih ozdravljal. 41 Iz mnogih so odhajali tudi demoni, vpili in govorili: »Ti si Božji Sin.« On pa jim je zapovedoval in ni pustil, da bi govorili, ker so vedeli, da je on Mesija.
Jezus potuje in uči
42 Ko se je zdanilo, je odšel in se napotil na samoten kraj. Množice so ga iskale. Ko so prišle do njega, so ga zadrževale, da ne bi šel od njih. 43 On pa jim je rekel: »Tudi drugim mestom moram oznaniti evangelij o Božjem kraljestvu, 
ker sem za to poslan.« 44 In oznanjal je po shodnicah v Judeji.
