1 The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,
2 Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear my words.
3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he was making a work on the wheels.
4 When the vessel that he made of the clay was marred in the hand of the potter, he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
5 Then the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
6 House of Israel, can’t I do with you as this potter? says Yahweh. Behold, as the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, house of Israel.

Jeremija pri lončarju
1 Beseda, ki se je zgodila Jeremiju od GOSPODA, rekoč: 2 »Vstani, pojdi v lončarjevo hišo; tam ti bom naznanil svoje besede.« 3 Šel sem torej v lončarjevo hišo in glej, lončar je ravno delal pri lončarskem kolovratu. 4 Kadar se mu je posoda, ki jo je oblikoval iz gline, v roki pokvarila, je iz nje naredil drugo, kakor se je lončarju zdelo prav.
5 Tedaj se mi je zgodila GOSPODOVA beseda, rekoč: 6 Mar ne morem, Izraelova hiša, storiti z vami kakor ta lončar? govori GOSPOD. Glejte, kakor je glina v lončarjevi roki, tako ste vi v moji roki, Izraelova hiša!

igral bom svojemu Bogu, dokler bom bival.

tisti dan propadejo njegovi načrti.
5 Blagor mu, komur je Bog Jakobov v pomoč
in je njegovo upanje v GOSPODU, njegovem Bogu,

19 Many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to console them concerning their brother.
20 Then when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary stayed in the house.
21 Therefore Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you would have been here, my brother wouldn’t have died.
22 Even now I know that, whatever you ask of God, God will give you.”
23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”
24 Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he die, yet will he live.
26 Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
27 She said to him, “Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Christ, God’s Son, he who comes into the world.”

19 Veliko Judov je prišlo k Marti in Mariji, da bi ju tolažili zaradi njunega brata. 20 Ko je Marta slišala, da prihaja Jezus, mu je šla naproti; Marija pa je sedela doma. 21 Marta je tedaj rekla Jezusu: »Gospod, ko bi bil ti tukaj, bi moj brat ne umrl; 22 a tudi zdaj vem, da ti bo Bog dal, kar koli ga zaprosiš.« 23 Jezus ji je rekel: »Tvoj brat bo vstal.« 24 Marta mu je dejala: »Vem, da bo vstal ob vstajenju poslednji dan.« 25 Jezus ji je rekel: »Jaz sem vstajenje in življenje:
kdor vame veruje, bo živel, tudi če umre; 26 in vsakdo, ki živi in vame veruje, vekomaj ne bo umrl. Veruješ v to?« 27 Odgovorila mu je: »Da, Gospod. Trdno verujem, da si ti Mesija, Božji Sin, ki prihaja na svet.«
