1. Mojzesova knjiga

1 Mz 18,20-321 Mz 18,20-32
English: World English Bible - WEB

20 Yahweh said, “Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous, 21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come to me. If not, I will know.” 22 The men turned from there, and went toward Sodom, but Abraham stood yet before Yahweh. 23 Abraham drew near, and said, “Will you consume the righteous with the wicked? 24 What if there are fifty righteous within the city? Will you consume and not spare the place for the fifty righteous who are therein? 25 Be it far from you to do things like that, to kill the righteous with the wicked, that so the righteous should be as the wicked. May that be far from you. Shouldn’t the Judge of all the earth do right?” 26 Yahweh said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sake.” 27 Abraham answered, “See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord, who am but dust and ashes. 28 What if there will lack five of the fifty righteous? Will you destroy all the city for lack of five?” He said, “I will not destroy it, if I find forty-five there.” 29 He spoke to him yet again, and said, “What if there are forty found there?” He said, “I will not do it for the forty’s sake.” 30 He said, “Oh don’t let the Lord be angry, and I will speak. What if there are thirty found there?” He said, “I will not do it, if I find thirty there.” 31 He said, “See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord. What if there are twenty found there?” He said, “I will not destroy it for the twenty’s sake.” 32 He said, “Oh don’t let the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once. What if ten are found there?” He said, “I will not destroy it for the ten’s sake.”

Psalmi 138,1-3.6-8Psalmi 138,1-3.6-8
English: World English Bible - WEB

138 By David. 1 I will give you thanks with my whole heart. Before the gods, I will sing praises to you. 2 I will bow down toward your holy temple, And give thanks to your Name for your loving kindness and for your truth; For you have exalted your Name and your Word above all. 3 In the day that I called, you answered me. You encouraged me with strength in my soul. 6 For though Yahweh is high, yet he looks after the lowly; But the proud, he knows from afar. 7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch forth your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me. 8 Yahweh will fulfill that which concerns me; Your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever. Don’t forsake the works of your own hands.

PSALM 138 (137)
Zahvala za Božjo dobroto in zvestobo

138

1 Davidov psalm.
Zahvaljujem se ti z vsem svojim srcem,
pred bogovi ti prepevam.
2 Padam na kolena k tvojemu svetemu templju
in se zahvaljujem tvojemu imenu
za tvojo dobroto in tvojo zvestobo,
ker si poveličal svoj izrek
nad vse svoje ime.

6 Zakaj GOSPOD je vzvišen in vidi nizkega,
ošabnega pa spozna od daleč.

7 Če hodim sredi stiske,
me ohranjaš pri življenju.
Zoper jezo mojih sovražnikov
izteguješ svojo roko
in tvoja desnica mi pomaga.
8 GOSPOD bo izpolnil načrt v moje dobro.
GOSPOD, tvoja dobrota traja na veke,
ne zapústi dela svojih rok.

12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. 13 You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us; and he has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross;

Lk 11,1-13Lk 11,1-13
English: World English Bible - WEB

11 1 It happened, that when he finished praying in a certain place, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples.” 2 He said to them, “When you pray, say, ‘Our Father in heaven, May your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come. May your will be done on Earth, as it is in heaven. 3 Give us day by day our daily bread. 4 Forgive us our sins, For we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. Bring us not into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.’” 5 He said to them, “Which of you, if you go to a friend at midnight, and tell him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, 6 for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him,’ 7 and he from within will answer and say, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I can’t get up and give it to you’? 8 I tell you, although he will not rise and give it to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence, he will get up and give him as many as he needs. 9 “I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. 11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he won’t give him a snake instead of a fish, will he? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, he won’t give him a scorpion, will he? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

O molitvi
Pridi tvoje kraljestvo.
3 Naš vsakdanji kruh nam dajaj od dne do dne
4 in odpústi nam naše grehe,
Iščite in boste našli!

Jeremija

Jer 7,1-11Jer 7,1-11
English: World English Bible - WEB

7 1 The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying, 2 Stand in the gate of Yahweh’s house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of Yahweh, all you of Judah, who enter in at these gates to worship Yahweh. 3 Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. 4 Don’t you trust in lying words, saying, The temple of Yahweh, the temple of Yahweh, the temple of Yahweh, are these. 5 For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings; if you thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor; 6 if you don’t oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, and don’t shed innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your own hurt: 7 then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, from of old even forevermore. 8 Behold, you trust in lying words, that can’t profit. 9 Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods that you have not known, 10 and come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered; that you may do all these abominations? 11 Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, I, even I, have seen it, says Yahweh.

Prerok govori v templju

7

3 Yes, the sparrow has found a home, And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young, Near your altars, Yahweh of Armies, my King, and my God. 4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are always praising you. Selah. 5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you; Who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage. 6 Passing through the valley of Weeping, they make it a place of springs. Yes, the autumn rain covers it with blessings. 8 Yahweh, God of Armies, hear my prayer. Listen, God of Jacob. Selah. 11 For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.

3 Moja duša hrepeni, celo medli
po GOSPODOVIH dvorih,
moje srce in moje meso vriskata
k živemu Bogu.

4 Celo ptica najde hišo,
lastovka gnezdo zase,
kamor položi svoje mladiče,
pri tvojih oltarjih, GOSPOD nad vojskami,
moj Kralj in moj Bog.
5 Blagor njim, ki stanujejo v tvoji hiši:
še te bodo smeli hvaliti.
Sela.
6 Blagor človeku, čigar moč je v tebi,
v njegovem srcu so ceste.

8 Hodijo od hrabrosti do hrabrosti,
Bog bogov se pokaže na Sionu.

11 Da, en dan v tvojih dvorih je boljši kakor tisoč drugih;
raje ostanem na pragu hiše svojega Boga,
kakor da bi stanoval v šotorih krivičnosti.

24 He set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field, 25 but while people slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel darnel is a weed grass that looks very much like wheat until it is mature, when the difference becomes very apparent. also among the wheat, and went away. 26 But when the blade sprang up and brought forth fruit, then the darnel appeared also. 27 The servants of the householder came and said to him, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where did this darnel come from?’ 28 “He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and gather them up?’ 29 “But he said, ‘No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel, you root up the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers, “First, gather up the darnel, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”

30 Pustite, naj oboje skupaj raste do žetve.
