8 And above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins.
9 Be hospitable one to another without grumbling.
10 According as each has received a gift, be ministering it among yourselves, as good stewards of the grace of God in its various forms.
11 If any man speaks, let it be as it were oracles of God. If any man serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
12 Beloved, don’t be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you, to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you.
13 But because you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory also you may rejoice with exceeding joy.

Bodite torej pametni in trezni za svoje molitve. 8 Predvsem se med seboj goreče ljubite, ker ljubezen pokrije množico grehov. 9 Bodite gostoljubni drug do drugega brez godrnjanja. 10 Kot dobri oskrbniki mnogotere Božje milosti strezite drug drugemu z milostnim darom, kakor ga je kdo prejel. 11 Če kdo govori, naj to stori, kakor je prav za Božje besede. 11 Jesus entered into the temple in Jerusalem. When he had looked around at everything, it being now evening, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.
12 The next day, when they had come out from Bethany, he was hungry.
13 Seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came to see if perhaps he might find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.
14 Jesus told it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again!” and his disciples heard it.
15 They came to Jerusalem, and Jesus entered into the temple, and began to throw out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of those who sold the doves.
16 He would not allow anyone to carry a container through the temple.
17 He taught, saying to them, “Isn’t it written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations?’ But you have made it a den of robbers!”
18 The chief priests and the scribes heard it, and sought how they might destroy him. For they feared him, because all the multitude was astonished at his teaching.
19 When evening came, he went out of the city.
20 As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away from the roots.
21 Peter, remembering, said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which you cursed has withered away.”
22 Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God.
23 For most assuredly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and doesn’t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening; he shall have whatever he says.
24 Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.
25 Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions.

11 In prišel je v Jeruzalem, v tempelj. Skrbno si je vse ogledal, in ker je bilo že pozno, je z dvanajsterimi odšel v Betanijo. Jezus je nejevoljen nad smokvinim drevesom 12 Ko so šli naslednji dan iz Betanije, je bil lačen. 13 Od daleč je zagledal smokvino drevo, ki je imelo listje. Šel je pogledat, če bi morda kaj našel na njem. Prišel je do njega, pa ni našel drugega kot listje; ni bil namreč čas za smokve. 14 Tedaj mu je rekel: »Naj od tebe nikoli več nihče ne jé sadu!« In njegovi učenci so to slišali.
Jezus očisti tempelj 15 Prišli so v Jeruzalem: Stopil je v tempelj in začel izganjati tiste, ki so v templju prodajali in kupovali. Menjalcem denarja je prevrnil mize, prodajalcem golobov pa stole 16 in ni pustil, da bi kdo kar koli nesel skozi tempelj. 17 Učil je in jim rekel: »Ali ni pisano: Moja hiša naj se imenuje hiša molitve za vse narode,
vi pa ste iz nje naredili razbojniško jamo.« 18 Ko so to slišali véliki duhovniki in pismouki, so iskali način, kako bi ga umorili. Bali pa so se ga, ker je vse ljudstvo strmelo nad njegovim naukom. 19 Ko se je zvečerilo, je odhajal iz mesta. Nauk smokvinega drevesa
20 Ko so šli navsezgodaj mimo tiste smokve, so videli, da se je posušila do korenin. 21 Peter se je spomnil in mu rekel: »Rabi, poglej, smokva, ki si jo preklel, se je posušila.« 22 In Jezus jim je odgovoril: »Imejte vero v Boga! 23 Resnično, povem vam: Kdor bo rekel tej gori: ›Vzdigni se in se vrzi v morje‹ in ne bo dvomil v svojem srcu, temveč verjel, da se bo zgodilo, kar pravi, se mu bo zgodilo. 24 Zato vam pravim: Za vse, kar molite in prosite, verjemite, da ste že prejeli, in se vam bo zgodilo. 25 In kadar vstanete k molitvi, odpustite, če imate kaj proti komu, da vam tudi vaš Oče, ki je v nebesih, odpusti vaše prestopke.«
