Gospod, naš Bog
pošlji Svetega Duha
mladim in starim,
moškim in ženskam,
od severa do juga,
od vzhoda do zahoda.
Vžgi ogenj
v naših srcih,
v naših ustih,
v naših očeh,
v naših rokah.
Dahni
v tiste, ki verujejo,
v tiste, ki dvomijo,
v tiste, ki ljubijo,
tiste, ki so sami.
Razširi se
v vsako človeško besedo
v vsako tišino
v vsak jezik,
v vsako pesem.
Tukaj in zdaj,
pošlji nam svojega Svetega Duha.
Ti si Gospod, za vedno.
Amen!

“Ker je Kristus sam navzoč v oltarnem zakramentu, mu je treba izkazovati
Božje češčenje.
Obiskovanje najsvetejšega zakramenta je dokaz hvaležnosti, dejansko znamenje ljubezni in izkazovanja Božjega Češčenja, ki smo ga
dolžni Kristusu Gospodu, 
pričujočemu v tem zakramentu. (št.1418)
Tega so se najbolj zavedali svetniki ter svetniško živeči kristjani in so prav
ob Najsvetejšem tako zelo napredovali v svetosti,
ob njih pa vsi tisti, ki so bili z njimi povezani.”

17 From Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called to himself the elders of the assembly.
18 When they had come to him, he said to them, “You yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, how I was with you all the time,
19 serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears, and with trials which happened to me by the plots of the Jews;
20 how I didn’t shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house,
21 testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus. TR adds “Christ”
22 Now, behold, I go bound by the Spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there;
23 except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions wait for me.
24 But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Gospel of the grace of God.
25 Now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I went about preaching the Kingdom of God, will see my face no more.
26 Therefore I testify to you this day that I am clean from the blood of all men,
27 for I didn’t shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.

Pavel govori efeškim starešinam
17 Iz Mileta je poslal sporočilo v Efez in poklical k sebi cerkvene starešine. 18 Ko so prišli, jim je rekel: »Dobro vam je znano, kako sem od prvega dne, ko sem stopil na tla province Azije, ves čas živel med vami. 19 Z vso ponižnostjo sem služil Gospodu, v solzah in preizkušnjah, ko so me Judje zalezovali. 20 Ničesar vam nisem zamolčal, kar vam je v korist, ampak sem vam oznanjal in vas učil, javno in po vaših domovih. 21 Jude in Grke sem rotil, naj se spreobrnejo k Bogu in naj verujejo v našega Gospoda Jezusa. 22 In glejte, zdaj grem, zavezan Duhu, v Jeruzalem, in ne vem, kaj me bo tam doletelo. 23 Vem edinole to, na kar me Sveti Duh v vseh mestih opominja, da me čakajo vezi in stiske. 24 Vendar mislim, da moje življenje ni omembe vredno, samo da dokončam svoj tek in dovršim službo, ki sem jo prejel od Gospoda Jezusa, da izpričam evangelij o Božji milosti.
25 In glejte, hodil sem med vami in vam oznanjal kraljestvo, a zdaj vem, da mi poslej nobeden izmed vas ne bo več gledal v obraz. 26 Zato vam današnji dan slovesno povem: čist sem od krvi vseh. 27 Ničesar nisem zamolčal, vso Božjo voljo sem vam oznanil.

1 Jesus said these things, and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may also glorify you;
2 even as you gave him authority over all flesh, he will give eternal life to all whom you have given him.
3 This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
4 I glorified you on the earth. I have accomplished the work which you have given me to do.
5 Now, Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world existed.
6 I revealed your name to the people whom you have given me out of the world. They were yours, and you have given them to me. They have kept your word.
7 Now they have known that all things whatever you have given me are from you,
8 for the words which you have given me I have given to them, and they received them, and knew for sure that I came forth from you, and they have believed that you sent me.
9 I pray for them. I don’t pray for the world, but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours.
10 All things that are mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them.
11 I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them through your name which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are.

1 Ko je to izrekel, je povzdignil oči proti nebu in dejal: »Oče, prišla je ura. Poveličaj svojega Sina, da Sin poveliča tebe, 2 kajti dal si mu oblast nad vsemi živimi bitji, da bi dal večno življenje vsem, ki si mu jih dal. 3 Večno življenje pa je v tem, da spoznavajo tebe, edinega resničnega Boga, in njega, ki si ga poslal, Jezusa Kristusa. 4 Jaz sem te poveličal na zemlji s tem, da sem dokončal delo, ki si mi ga dal, da ga opravim. 5 In zdaj me ti, Oče, poveličaj pri sebi z veličastvom, ki sem ga imel pri tebi, preden je bil svet.
6 Razodel sem tvoje ime ljudem, katere si mi dal od sveta. Tvoji so bili, pa si jih dal meni in so se držali tvoje besede. 7 Zdaj vedo, da je vse, kar si mi dal, od tebe; 8 kajti besede, ki si mi jih dal, sem dal njim. Oni so jih sprejeli in resnično spoznali, da sem izšel od tebe, ter začeli verovati, da si me ti poslal. 9 Jaz prosim zanje. Ne prosim za svet, temveč za tiste, ki si mi jih dal, ker so tvoji; 10 in vse moje je tvoje, in kar je tvoje, je moje 
in poveličan sem v njih. 11 Nisem več na svetu; oni so na svetu, jaz pa odhajam k tebi. Sveti Oče, ohrani jih v svojem imenu, ki si mi ga dal, da bodo eno kakor midva.
