“Kadar imamo ljubega Boga v srcu, moramo biti zelo goreči. Srce emavških učencev je bilo goreče že, ko sta ga samo slišala. Ni mi všeč, če kdo, ko pride od obhajilne mize, začne takoj brati. Čemu človeška beseda, kadar govori Bog?

Storiti moramo kakor tisti, ki je zelo radoveden in ki posluša pri vratih. Prisluhniti moramo vsemu, kar nam dobri

Bog govori pri vratih našega srca.

26 Brothers, children of the stock of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, the word of this salvation is sent out to you. ²⁷ For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they didn’t know him, nor the voices of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning him. ²⁸ Though they found no cause for death, they still asked Pilate to have him killed. ²⁹ When they had fulfilled all things that were written about him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a tomb. ³⁰ But God raised him from the dead, ³¹ and he was seen for many days by those who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses to the people. ³² We bring you good news of the promise made to the fathers, ³³ that God has fulfilled the same to us, their children, in that he raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second psalm, ‘You are my Son. Today I have become your father.’

26 Bratje, sinovi Abrahamovega rodu, in vi, ki se bojite Boga! Nam je bila poslana beseda tega odrešenja. 27 Prebivalci Jeruzalema in njihovi voditelji ga niso spoznali. S svojo sodbo so izpolnili besede prerokov, ki jih berejo vsako soboto. 28 Čeprav niso našli nobene krivde, da bi zaslužil smrt, so od Pilata zahtevali, naj ga dá usmrtiti. 29 In ko so izpolnili vse, kar je bilo zapisano o njem, so ga sneli z lesa in položili v grob. 30 Toda Bog ga je obudil od mrtvih. 31 Več dni se je prikazoval tistim, ki so prišli z njim iz Galileje v Jeruzalem; ti so zdaj njegove priče pred ljudstvom. 32 In tudi mi vam oznanjamo, da se je izpolnila obljuba, dana očetom. 33 Bog jo je izpolnil nad nami, ki smo njihovi otroci, s tem da je obudil Jezusa, kakor je zapisano v drugem psalmu:

na Sionu, svoji sveti gori.«

7 Razglasil bom GOSPODOV zakon.

Rekel mi je: »Ti si moj sin,

danes sem te rodil.

8 Zahtevaj od mene,

in dam ti narode v dediščino,

v lastnino konce zemlje.

9 Razbil jih boš z železno palico,

kakor lončarjevo posodo jih boš zdrobil.«

10 Zdaj torej, kralji, bodite razumni,

dajte se posvariti, sodniki zemlje!

1 »Vaše srce naj se ne vznemirja. Verujete v Boga, tudi vame verujte! 2 V hiši mojega Očeta je veliko bivališč. Če bi ne bilo tako, ali bi vam rekel: Odhajam, da vam pripravim prostor? 3 Ko odidem in vam pripravim prostor, bom spet prišel in vas vzel k sebi, da boste tudi vi tam, kjer sem jaz. 4 In kamor jaz grem, poznate pot.« 5 Tomaž mu je rekel: »Gospod, ne vemo, kam greš. Kako bi mogli poznati pot?« 6 Jezus mu je dejal: »Jaz sem pot, resnica in življenje. Nihče ne pride k Očetu drugače kot po meni.
