SVETA TEREZIJA DETETA JEZUSA 
je zapisala o evharističnem Jezusu:
“Ne prihaja dan na dan iz nebes na naše oltarje, da bi ostajal v zlatih ciborijih,
temveč bi našel na zemlji druga nebesa,
ki so mu neskončno ljubša od prvih – nebesa moje duše, 
ustvarjene po Njegovi podobi, živi tempelj Presvete Trojice.”

1 Listen, islands, to me; and listen, you peoples, from far: Yahweh has called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother has he made mention of my name:
2 and he has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand has he hid me: and he has made me a polished shaft; in his quiver has he kept me close:
3 and he said to me, You are my servant; Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
4 But I said, I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely the justice due to me is with Yahweh, and my recompense with my God.
5 Now says Yahweh who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, and that Israel be gathered to him ;
6 yes, he says, It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.

Drugi spev o GOSPODOVEM služabniku
1 Poslušajte me, otoki,
prisluhnite, ljudstva iz daljave!
GOSPOD me je poklical v materinem telesu,
mi dal ime že v materinem naročju.
2 Moja usta je naredil kakor oster meč,
skril me je v senci svoje roke,
naredil me je za gladko puščico,
me skril v svojem tulcu.
3 Rekel mi je: »Ti si moj služabnik,
Izrael, ki se bom v tebi poveličal.«
4 Jaz pa sem rekel: »Zaman sem se trudil,
v votlo in prazno sem potratil svojo moč.«
In vendar je moja pravica pri GOSPODU,
moje plačilo je pri mojem Bogu.
5 Zdaj pa govori GOSPOD,
ki me je v materinem telesu upodobil za svojega služabnika,
da bi Jakoba pripeljal spet k njemu
in Izraela zbral pri njem -
tako sem bil počaščen v GOSPODOVIH očeh
in moj Bog je bil moja moč -
6 rekel je:
»Premalo je, da kot moj služabnik
vzpostaviš le Jakobove rodove
in privedeš nazaj Izraelove rešence.
Zato sem te postavil za luč narodom,
da boš moje odrešenje do konca zemlje.«

Zaupanje v Božjo zvestobo
1 K tebi, GOSPOD, se zatekam,
naj ne bom osramočen na veke.
2 V svoji pravičnosti me reši in osvobodi,
nagni k meni svoje uho in me odreši.
3 Bodi mi utrjena skala,
h kateri lahko vedno pridem.
Odločil si, da me boš odrešil,
zakaj ti si moja skala in moja trdnjava.
4 Moj Bog, osvobodi me iz rok krivičnika,
iz pesti hudobneža in zatiralca;
5 zakaj ti si moje upanje, o Gospod,
moje zaupanje, GOSPOD, od moje mladosti.
6 Nate sem se opiral od materinega telesa,
od naročja moje matere si moj varuh,
tebi velja moja hvalnica za vedno.

21 When Jesus had said this, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, “Most assuredly I tell you that one of you will betray me.”
22 The disciples looked at one another, perplexed about whom he spoke.
23 One of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was at the table, leaning against Jesus’ breast.
24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, and said to him, “Tell us who it is of whom he speaks.”
25 He, leaning back, as he was, on Jesus’ breast, asked him, “Lord, who is it?”
26 Jesus therefore answered, “It is he to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.
27 After the piece of bread, then Satan entered into him.
Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”
28 Now no man at the table knew why he said this to him.
29 For some thought, because Judas had the money box, that Jesus said to him, “Buy what things we need for the feast,” or that he should give something to the poor.
30 Therefore, having received that morsel, he went out immediately. It was night.
31 When he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him.
32 If God has been glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and he will glorify him immediately.
33 Little children, I will be with you a little while longer. You will seek me, and as I said to the Jews, ‘Where I am going, you can’t come,’ so now I tell you.
36 Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?”
Jesus answered, “Where I am going, you can’t follow now, but you will follow afterwards.”
37 Peter said to him, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”
38 Jesus answered him, “Will you lay down your life for me? Most assuredly I tell you, the rooster won’t crow until you have denied me three times.

Jezus napove, kdo ga bo izdal
21 Ko je Jezus to izgovoril, se je v duhu vznemiril, izpričal in rekel: »Resnično, resnično, povem vam: Eden izmed vas me bo izdal.« 22 Učenci so se gledali med seboj, ker si niso mogli misliti, o kom govori. 23 Eden izmed njegovih učencev, tisti, ki ga je Jezus ljubil, je ležal blizu Jezusovega naročja. 24 Simon Peter mu je pomignil, naj ga vpraša, o kom govori. 25 Ta se je naslonil na Jezusove prsi in mu rekel: »Gospod, kdo je?« 26 Jezus je odgovoril: »Tisti, ki mu bom pomočil grižljaj in mu ga dal.« Tedaj je pomočil grižljaj, ga vzel in dal Judu, sinu Simona Iškarijota. 27 Ko je ta vzel grižljaj, je šel satan vanj. Jezus mu je tedaj rekel: »Kar nameravaš storiti, stôri hitro.« 28 Nobeden izmed tistih, ki so bili pri mizi, ni razumel, zakaj mu je to rekel. 29 Nekateri so mislili (ker je namreč Juda imel denarnico), da mu je Jezus rekel: »Nakupi, kar potrebujemo za praznik,« ali da naj dá kaj ubogim. 30 Ko je torej vzel tisti grižljaj, je šel takoj ven; bila pa je noč.
Nova zapoved
31 Ko je šel ven, je Jezus rekel: »Zdaj je Sin človekov poveličan in Bog je poveličan v njem. 32 Če je Bog poveličan v njem, ga bo tudi Bog poveličal v sebi; in poveličal ga bo takoj. 33 Otroci, le malo časa bom še z vami. Iskali me boste, in kakor sem rekel Judom, zdaj pravim tudi vam: Kamor grem jaz, vi ne morete priti.

Jezus napove, da ga bo Peter zatajil
36 Simon Peter mu je rekel: »Gospod, kam odhajaš?« Jezus mu je odgovoril: »Kamor grem, zdaj ne moreš za menoj, prišel pa boš pozneje.« 37 Peter mu je rekel: »Gospod, zakaj ne bi mogel zdaj iti za teboj? Življenje dam zate.« 38 Jezus je odvrnil: »Življenje daš zame?
 Resnično, resnično, povem ti: Petelin ne bo zapel, preden me trikrat ne zatajiš.« |
