For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.
1 May Yahweh answer you in the day of trouble.
May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high,
2 Send you help from the sanctuary,
Grant you support from Zion,
3 Remember all your offerings,
And accept your burnt sacrifice.
Selah.
4 May He grant you your heart’s desire,
And fulfill all your counsel.
5 We will triumph in your salvation.
In the name of our God we will set up our banners:
May Yahweh grant all your requests.
6 Now I know that Yahweh saves his anointed.
He will answer him from his holy heaven,
With the saving strength of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses,
But we trust the name of Yahweh our God.
8 They are bowed down and fallen,
But we rise up, and stand upright.
9 Save, Yahweh;
Let the King answer us when we call!

Imeti bi morali nekaj tiste pokorščine, 
ki je šla pri Kristusu prav do smrti na križu; nekaj tiste ljubezni, 
ki je bila močnejša od smrti in pomeni največjo zmago v zgodovini človeštva. Ako je vse to v nas, preden smo se približali oltarju, nam bo dejavno sodelovanje z evharistično daritvijo daritveno voljo še povečalo.
Daritveno voljo v nas stopnjujejo razni darovi, pridelki in izdelki in denar, ki jih pri darovanju prinesemo k oltarju. Tako v Kristusovo daritev vključujemo sami sebe,
vso svojo dejavnost in vse stvarstvo.

12 Therefore, as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin; and so death passed to all men, because all sinned.
15 But the free gift isn’t like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
17 For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.
18 So then as through one trespass, all men were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all men were justified to life.
19 For as through the one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one will many be made righteous.
20 The law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace did abound more exceedingly;
21 that as sin reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

12 Kakor je torej po enem človeku prišel na svet greh in po grehu smrt in je tako smrt prišla na vse ljudi, ker so vsi grešili …;

15 Vendar pa z milostnim darom ni tako kakor s prestopkom. Če so namreč zaradi prestopka enega umrli mnogi, sta se v veliko večji meri razlila na mnoge Božja milost in dar, po milosti enega človeka, Jezusa Kristusa.

| 17 Kajti če je smrt zaradi enega prestopka zakraljevala po enem, bodo tisti, ki prejemajo obilje milosti in daru pravičnosti, toliko bolj kraljevali v življenju po enem, Jezusu Kristusu. 18 Kakor se je torej po prestopku enega človeka zgrnila obsodba na vse ljudi, tako tudi zaradi pravičnega dejanja enega prihaja na vse ljudi opravičenje, ki daje življenje. 19 Kakor so namreč zaradi neposlušnosti enega človeka mnogi postali grešniki, tako bodo tudi zaradi poslušnosti enega mnogi postali pravični. |
| 20 Postava pa je nastopila zato, da bi se prestopek pomnožil. Toda kjer se je pomnožil greh, se je še veliko bolj pomnožila milost, 21 da bi prav tako, kakor je greh kraljeval s smrtjo, po našem Gospodu Jezusu Kristusu milost kraljevala s pravičnostjo za večno življenje. |

7 Nad klavnimi in jedilnimi daritvami nisi imel veselja,
izoblikoval si mi ušesa,
žgalnih daritev in daritev za greh nisi zahteval.
8 Tedaj sem rekel: »Glej, prihajam;
v zvitku knjige je pisano o meni:
9 Izpolnjevati tvojo voljo, moj Bog, me veseli,
tvoja postava je v mojem srcu.«
10 Oznanjeval sem pravičnost v velikem zboru;
glej, svojih ustnic ne zadržujem,
GOSPOD, ti sam veš.

17 Naj se radujejo, naj se veselijo v tebi
vsi, ki te iščejo.
Naj vedno govorijo: »Velik je GOSPOD,«
kateri ljubijo tvojo pomoč.

35 “Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning.
36 Be like men watching for their lord, when he returns from the marriage feast; that, when he comes and knocks, they may immediately open to him.
37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord will find watching when he comes. Most assuredly I tell you, that he will dress himself, and make them recline, and will come and serve them.
38 They will be blessed if he comes in the second or third watch, and finds them so.

36 vi pa bodite podobni ljudem, ki čakajo, kdaj se bo njihov gospodar vrnil s svatbe, da mu odprejo takoj, ko pride in potrka. 37 Blagor tistim služabnikom, ki jih bo gospodar ob svojem prihodu našel budne! Resnično, povem vam: Opasal se bo in jih posadil za mizo. Pristopil bo in jim stregel. 38 In če pride ob drugi ali tretji nočni straži in jih najde takó, blagor jim!
