1 Now receive one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions.
2 One man has faith to eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables.
3 Don’t let him who eats despise him who doesn’t eat. Don’t let him who doesn’t eat judge him who eats, for God has received him.
4 Who are you who judge another’s servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for God has power to make him stand.
5 One man esteems one day as more important. Another esteems every day alike. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind.
6 He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks. He who doesn’t eat, to the Lord he doesn’t eat, and gives God thanks.
7 For none of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself.
8 For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord. If therefore we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
9 For to this end Christ died, rose, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
10 But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11 For it is written,
“‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘to me every knee will bow.
Every tongue will confess to God.’”
12 So then each one of us will give account of himself to God.

V mašni daritvi se srečujemo z osvobajajočim Jezusovim oznanilom. Kristus skozi vse cerkveno leto vsako nedeljo in praznik s svojo živo besedo dviga naša srca 
k duhovnim in nebeškim resničnostim. Kot glavni duhovnik in dar nas vključuje v svojo daritev Očetu
in nas s tem osvobaja naše sebičnosti. Oznanja nam, da je naš cilj nebeški Oče.
Živeti moramo v Njem in Zanj ter izpolnjevati Njegovo voljo, da bomo po smrti prišli k Njemu.
Za rast 
v nesebični ljubezni nam daje v hrano in pijačo svoje Telo in Kri.
Tako Kristus v svoji daritvi 
tiste, ki se mu pridružujemo, vedno znova rešuje porabniške in uživaške miselnosti. Naša naloga je, da v moči evharistične daritve 
in prejetega obhajila postajamo luč, sol in kvas za današnji svet.

1 Therefore you are without excuse, O man, whoever you are who judge. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things.
2 We know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things.
3 Do you think this, O man who judges those who practice such things, and do the same, that you will escape the judgment of God?
4 Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
5 But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath, revelation, and of the righteous judgment of God;
6 who “will pay back to everyone according to their works:”
7 to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and incorruptibility, eternal life;
8 but to those who are self-seeking, and don’t obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, will be wrath and indignation,
9 oppression and anguish, on every soul of man who works evil, on the Jew first, and also on the Greek.
10 But glory and honor and peace to every man who works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
11 For there is no partiality with God.

Pravična Božja sodba
1 Zato si neopravičljiv, o človek, ki sodiš, kdor koli že si. Kajti s tem, ko sodiš drugega, obsojaš sam sebe; saj ti, ki sodiš, delaš isto. 2 Vemo pa, da Bog v skladu z resnico izvaja svojo sodbo nad tistimi, ki počenjajo takšne stvari. 3 Mar misliš, o človek, ki sodiš tiste, ki počenjajo takšne stvari, pa jih tudi sam počenjaš, da boš ubežal Božji sodbi? 4 Ali mar preziraš bogastvo njegove dobrote, potrpežljivosti in prizanesljivosti, ne da bi vedel, da te Bog s svojo dobroto navaja k spreobrnjenju? 5 Toda s svojo zakrknjenostjo in z nespreobrnjenim srcem si nakopavaš srd za dan jeze in razodetja Božje pravične jeze. 6 On bo vsakemu povrnil po njegovih delih, 7 in sicer z večnim življenjem tistim, ki z vztrajanjem v dobrih delih iščejo slavo, čast in nesmrtnost; 8 z jezo in srdom pa tistim, ki so sebični in ne sledijo resnici, ampak se pokoravajo krivici. 9 Stiska in bridkost naj se zgrneta nad dušo vsakega človeka, ki dela zlo, najprej nad Juda, potem nad Grka; 10 slava, čast in mir pa nad vsakogar, ki dela dobro, najprej nad Juda, potem nad Grka. 11 Kajti Bog ne gleda na osebo.

42 But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, but you bypass justice and the love of God. You ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone.
43 Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seats in the synagogues, and the greetings in the marketplaces.
44 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like hidden graves, and the men who walk over them don’t know it.”
45 One of the lawyers answered him, “Teacher, in saying this you insult us also.”
46 He said, “Woe to you lawyers also! For you load men with burdens that are difficult to carry, and you yourselves won’t even lift one finger to help carry those burdens.
