2 Pharisees came to him testing him, and asked him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”
3 He answered, “What did Moses command you?”
4 They said, “Moses allowed a certificate of divorce to be written, and to divorce her.”
5 But Jesus said to them, “For your hardness of heart, he wrote you this commandment.
6 But from the beginning of the creation, ‘God made them male and female.
7 For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife,
8 and the two will become one flesh,’ so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.
9 What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”
10 In the house, his disciples asked him again about the same matter.
11 He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife, and marries another, commits adultery against her.
12 If a woman herself divorces her husband, and marries another, she commits adultery.”
13 They were bringing to him little children, that he should touch them, but the disciples rebuked those who were bringing them.
14 But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said to them, “Allow the little children to come to me! Don’t forbid them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
15 Most assuredly I tell you, whoever will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”
16 He took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

18 Yahweh God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.”
19 Out of the ground Yahweh God formed every animal of the field, and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. Whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name.
20 The man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the sky, and to every animal of the field; but for man there was not found a helper suitable for him.
21 Yahweh God caused a deep sleep to fall on the man, and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place.
22 He made the rib, which Yahweh God had taken from the man, into a woman, and brought her to the man.
23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She will be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”
24 Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.

in meso iz mojega mesa;
ta se bo imenovala móžinja,
kajti ta je vzeta iz moža.«
24 Zaradi tega bo mož zapustil očeta in mater in se pridružil svoji ženi in bosta eno meso.

PSALM 128 (127)
Blagoslov Božjih častilcev
1 Stopniška pesem.
Blagor vsakemu, ki se boji GOSPODA,
ki hodi po njegovih poteh.
2 Sadove truda svojih rok boš zares užival,
blagor tebi, tebi bo dobro.
3 Tvoja žena bo kakor rodovitna trta
sredi tvoje hiše;
tvoji otroci bodo kakor oljčne mladike
okrog tvoje mize.
4 Glej, tako bo blagoslovljen mož,
ki se boji GOSPODA.
5 Blagoslovi naj te GOSPOD s Siona,
da boš užival blaginjo Jeruzalema
vse dni svojega življenja,
6 da boš videl svojih otrok otroke.
Mir nad Izraelom!

9 But we see him who has been made a little lower than the angels, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God he should taste of death for everyone.
10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many children to glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
11 For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers The word for “brothers” here and where context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.”,

1 Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment.
2 For in many things we all stumble. If anyone doesn’t stumble in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also.
3 Indeed, we put bits into the horses’ mouths so that they may obey us, and we guide their whole body.
4 Behold, the ships also, though they are so big and are driven by fierce winds, are yet guided by a very small rudder, wherever the pilot desires.
5 So the tongue is also a little member, and boasts great things. See how a small fire can spread to a large forest!
6 And the tongue is a fire. The world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by Gehenna. Gehenna is a name that describes a burning Hell with rotting bodies and unclean things in it
7 For every kind of animal, bird, creeping thing, and thing in the sea, is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind.
8 But nobody can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in the image of God.
10 Out of the same mouth comes forth blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.
11 Does a spring send out from the same opening fresh and bitter water?
12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.

Dne 25.junija 1905 sta dva mlada strastna iskalca resnice in Boga, Jacques Maritain, sin potestanstskih staršev, in njegova žena Raisa, obiskala na griču Montmartru v Parizu globoko vernega Leona Bloya.
Nekaj skromnega
so naredile zanj. Čez dva dni je rekel: “V moje življenje ste prinesle Boga. Pripeljite še duhovnika.” Pripeljale so duhovnika.
Ni pomembno, kaj in koliko delamo, ampak koliko ljubezni vložimo v dejanje, ker je to naša ljubezen v dejanju.
Vsako delo ljubezni, narejeno z vsem srcem, vedno pripelje ljudi bliže k Bogu.”

17 The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!”
18 He said to them, “I saw Satan having fallen like lightning from heaven.
19 Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you.
20 Nevertheless, don’t rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
21 In that same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.”
22 Turning to the disciples, he said, “All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is, except the Father, and who the Father is, except the Son, and he to whomever the Son desires to reveal him.”
23 Turning to the disciples, he said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things that you see,
24 for I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see the things which you see, and didn’t see them, and to hear the things which you hear, and didn’t hear them.”

Jeruzalem joka in vliva upanje
5 Bodi pogumno, moje ljudstvo,
spomin Izraela.
6 Prodani ste bili poganom,
a ne v uničenje,
temveč ste bili izročeni sovražnikom,
ker ste razjezili Boga.
10 Videla sem izgnanstvo svojih sinov in hčerá,
ki ga je nadnje privedel Večni.
11 Z veseljem sem jih vzgojila,
z jokom in žalostjo sem jih poslala proč.
12 Nihče naj se ne veseli nad menoj,
vdovo in od mnogih zapuščeno.
Opustošena sem zaradi grehov svojih otrok,
ker so se odvrnili od Božje postave.
|
27 Postanite pogumni, otroci, in zavpijte k Bogu!

They shall settle there, and own it.
36 The children also of his servants shall inherit it.
