1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ Christ and Messiah both mean “Anointed One”, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2 Abraham became the father of Isaac. Isaac became the father of Jacob. Jacob became the father of Judah and his brothers.
3 Judah became the father of Perez and Zerah by Tamar. Perez became the father of Hezron. Hezron became the father of Ram.
4 Ram became the father of Amminadab. Amminadab became the father of Nahshon. Nahshon became the father of Salmon.
5 Salmon became the father of Boaz by Rahab. Boaz became the father of Obed by Ruth. Obed became the father of Jesse.
6 Jesse became the father of David the king. David became the father of Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah.
7 Solomon became the father of Rehoboam. Rehoboam became the father of Abijah. Abijah became the father of Asa.
8 Asa became the father of Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat became the father of Joram. Joram became the father of Uzziah.
9 Uzziah became the father of Jotham. Jotham became the father of Ahaz. Ahaz became the father of Hezekiah.
10 Hezekiah became the father of Manasseh. Manasseh became the father of Amon. Amon became the father of Josiah.
11 Josiah became the father of Jechoniah and his brothers, at the time of the exile to Babylon.
12 After the exile to Babylon, Jechoniah became the father of Shealtiel. Shealtiel became the father of Zerubbabel.
13 Zerubbabel became the father of Abiud. Abiud became the father of Eliakim. Eliakim became the father of Azor.

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this; for after his mother, Mary, was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
19 Joseph, her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, intended to put her away secretly.
20 But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take to yourself Mary, your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21 She shall bring forth a son. You shall call his name Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins.”
22 Now all this has happened, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,
23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child,
And shall bring forth a son.
They shall call his name Immanuel;”
Which is, being interpreted, “God with us.”

2 Abrahamu se je rodil Izak, Izaku se je rodil Jakob, Jakobu se je rodil Juda in njegovi bratje. 3 Judu je Tamara rodila Pereca in Zeraha. Perecu se je rodil Hecrón, Hecrónu se je rodil Ram, 4 Ramu se je rodil Aminadáb, Aminadábu se je rodil Nahšón, Nahšónu se je rodil Salmón, 5 Salmónu je Rahába rodila Boaza, Boazu je Ruta rodila Obéda. 12 Po preselitvi v Babilon se je Jojahínu rodil Šealtiél, Šealtiélu se je rodil Zerubabél, 13 Zerubabélu se je rodil Abihúd, Abihúdu se je rodil Eljakím, Eljakímu se je rodil Azór, 14 Azórju se je rodil Cadók, Cadóku se je rodil Ahím, Ahímu se je rodil Eliúd, 15 Eliúdu se je rodil Eleazar, Eleazarju se je rodil Matán, Matánu se je rodil Jakob, 16 Jakobu pa se je rodil Jožef, mož Marije, iz katere je bil rojen Jezus, ki se imenuje Kristus.

1 Now you shall gather yourself in troops,
Daughter of troops.
He has laid siege against us;
They will strike the judge of Israel with a rod on the cheek.
2 But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
Being small among the clans of Judah,
Out of you one will come forth to me that is to be ruler in Israel;
Whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.
3 Therefore he will abandon them until the time that she who is in labor gives birth.
Then the rest of his brothers will return to the children of Israel.
4 He shall stand, and shall shepherd in the strength of Yahweh,

Mesija pride iz Betlehema
5 1 Ti pa, Betlehem Efráta,
si premajhen, da bi bil med Judovimi tisočnijami:
iz tebe mi pride tisti,
ki bo vladal v Izraelu,
njegovi izviri so od nekdaj,
iz davnih dni.
2 Zato jih bo predal do časa,
ko bo porodnica rodila;
nato se bo ostanek njegovih bratov vrnil
k Izraelovim sinovom.
3 Trdno bo stal in pasel čredo z GOSPODOVO močjo,
z veličastvom imena GOSPODA, svojega Boga,

Peter izpove vero
27 Nato je šel Jezus s svojimi učenci v vasi Cezareje Filipove. Med potjo je učence spraševal: »Kaj pravijo ljudje, kdo sem?« 28 Odgovorili so: »Janez Krstnik; drugi: Elija; spet drugi: eden od prerokov.« 29 In vprašal jih je: »Kaj pa vi pravite, kdo sem?« Peter mu je odgovoril in rekel: »Ti si Mesija.« 30 Strogo jim je prepovedal, da bi to komu povedali.
Jezus prvič napove svojo smrt in vstajenje
31 In začel jih je učiti, da bo Sin človekov moral veliko pretrpeti, da ga bodo starešine, véliki duhovniki in pismouki zavrgli in umorili in da bo po treh dneh vstal. 32 O teh stvareh jim je odkrito govoril. In Peter ga je potegnil k sebi in ga začel grajati. 33 On pa se je obrnil, pogledal po učencih in pograjal Petra: »Poberi se! Za menoj, satan, ker ne misliš na to, kar je Božje, ampak na to, kar je človeško!« 34 Tedaj je poklical k sebi množico skupaj z učenci in jim rekel: »
Če hoče kdo hoditi za menoj, naj se odpove sebi in vzame svoj križ ter hodi za menoj. 35 Kdor namreč hoče rešiti svoje življenje, ga bo izgubil; kdor pa izgubi svoje življenje zaradi mene in zaradi evangelija, ga bo rešil.

Že ob samem rojstvu so Te oblastniki želeli umoriti. Po treh letih oznanjevanja evangelija je njihovo sovraštvo še večje. Očetova volja je, da se prepustiš tudi v roke ljudi, ki Te ne zmorejo ljubiti. Na Oljski gori v molitvi najdeš moč, da pokorno dahneš: “Oče, ne moja, ampak Tvoja volja naj se zgodi!”
Zbrani v Tvojem imenu Ti skesano priznamo, da se pogosto ne zavedamo, kako se raje izognemo ljudem, ki nas ne marajo, kot da bi zaradi njih trpeli ponižanja.
Mati Marija, Ti si zaupala v Očetovo dobroto, zato si postala nevesta Svetega Duha. Izprosi nam milost, da bomo v moči svetega obhajila tudi mi raje izbrali trpljenje iz ljubezni do Očeta kot pa veselje iz samoljubja.

Ki je za nas bičan bil
Če hoče kdo hoditi za menoj, naj se odpove sebi…

Izdan in obsojen na smrt mirno prenašaš udarce bičev. Brez usmiljenja režejo po usmiljenem hrbtu. Zanje in za vse, ki bližnjim povzročamo trpljenje, prosiš: “Oče, odpusti jim, saj ne vedo, kaj delajo!”
Zbrani v Tvojem imenu, Ti skesano priznamo, da se pogosto ne zavedamo, da Te tudi mi obsojamo na smrt, ko kopičimo zamere do svojih bližnjih.

Mati Marija, Ti si nevesta Svetega Duha, zato si čutila s svojim Sinom tudi na poti trpljenja. Izprosi nam milost, da bomo v Svetem obhajilu našli moč, da bomo združeni z Jezusom tudi mi bližnjim v resnici vse odpustili.

Bog Ljubezni, ki daje soncu, da sije in srcu, da bije, dovoli, da se mu posmehuje gospodovalni človek. Kot Oče dovoli, da se iz Njega norčujejo, tudi Ti dovoliš, da Te okronajo s trnjem. Vsega občudovanja vredno pa je, da ves opljuvan prosiš: “Oče, odpusti jim, saj ne vedo, kaj delajo!”
Zbrani v Tvojem imenu, Ti skesano priznamo, da se pogosto ne zavedamo, da Te tudi mi kronamo s trnjem, ko bližnjemu gospodujemo brez ljubezni.

Bog ljubezni, ki daje materam, da rodijo in cvetlicam, da cvetijo, dovoli, da mu človek svobodno vrača z grehom. Svobodno sprejmeš težki križ človeških zablod in svobodno ga vlečeš smrti naproti.
Svobodno prosiš: “Oče, odpusti jim, saj ne vedo, kaj delajo!”
Zbrani v Tvojem imenu, Ti skesano priznamo, da se pogosto ne zavedamo, da se svobodno raje družimo z ljudmi, ki nas imajo radi.

Mati Marija, ti si nevesta Svetega Duha, zato nas vodiš k Jezusu, ki nas uči odpovedi samemu sebi. Izprosi nam milost, da bomo v svetem obhajilu našli moč, da se bomo združeni z Jezusom radi odpovedali svojim pravicam, a dosledno izpolnjevali svoje dolžnosti.

Bog ljubezni, ki daje človeku, da svobodno živi, sam v smrtnih mukah na križu visi. Svobodno za grešnika umiraš, da kot človek dopolniš Božji zgled ljubezni.
Zavrnjen od ljudi vsem odpustiš in dušo v Očetove roke izročiš. V Očetovih rokah smrti pač ni, zato glej, tretji dan zopet živiš in nas ljubiš vekomaj, amen!
Zbrani v Tvojem imenu, Ti skesano priznamo, da se pogosto ne zavedamo, da Te tudi mi križamo, ko odrivamo od sebe ljudi, ki so najbolj potrebni naše pomoči.
Mati Marija, ti si nevesta Svetega Duha, zato si zaupala v dobroto nebeškega Očeta tudi takrat, ko so Ti v naročje položili mrtvega Sina. Izprosi nam milost, da bomo v svetem obhajilu našli moč, da bomo združeni z Jezusom raje umrli kot grešili.

O, Jezus, Jagnje Božje, ki se neprestano daruješ na naših oltarjih v zveličanje sveta, hočemo se združiti s Teboj in s Teboj
trpeti v povezanosti z vso Cerkvijo.
V ta namen Ti darujemo svoje trpljenje, ki nam ga podarja Tvoja previdnost. Naj bo naša slabotna žrtev v blagoslov za Cerkev, duhovnike in grešnike, kar smo mi vsi. Sprejmi po rokah Marije v svoje Srce te izrečene prošnje, pa tudi tiste, ki jih
nosimo v svojem srcu, KI ŽIVIŠ IN NAS LJUBIŠ VEKOMAJ. Amen. Oče naš, Zdrava Marija…

7 The scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against him.
8 But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Rise up, and stand in the middle.” He arose and stood.
9 Then Jesus said to them, “I will ask you something: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?”
10 He looked around at them all, and said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did, and his hand was restored as sound as the other.
11 But they were filled with rage, and talked with one another about what they might do to Jesus.

24 Zdaj se veselim, ko trpim za vas ter s svoje strani dopolnjujem v svojem mesu, kar primanjkuje Kristusovim bridkostim, in to v prid njegovemu telesu, ki je Cerkev. 25 Postal sem njen služabnik po načrtu, ki mi ga je Bog določil, da izpolnim Božjo besedo, 26 skrivnost, ki je bila skrita pred veki in rodovi in se je zdaj razodela njegovim svetim. 27 Njim je Bog hotel oznaniti, kakšno je bogastvo slave te skrivnosti med pogani, namreč Kristus v vas, upanje slave. 28 Kajti njega oznanjamo, ko vsakega človeka spodbujamo in vsakega človeka poučujemo z vso modrostjo, da bi vsakega napravili popolnega v Kristusu. 29 V ta namen se tudi trudim in bojujem, z njegovo močjo, ki v meni silovito deluje.

Sv.Avguštin v Izpovedih pripoveduje, kako je njegova mati Monika dolga leta
vztrajno molila za njegovo spreobrnjenje. Ko je bil še manihejec, se je obrnila na nekega škofa, da bi Avguština odvrnil od zmotnega nauka. A škof je poznal Avguštinovo trmo in zaverovanost v zmotne nauke, zato je rekel ženi: “Pojdi in pusti me že! Kakor resnično živiš, nemogoče je, da bi se otrok takšnih solza izgubil”
Mati Monika sinu Avguštinu ni izprosila samo spobrnjenja. Postal je celo odličen duhovnik in škof in nazadnje eden največjih svetnikov.
V očenašu, ki ga skupno molimo ali pojemo tudi med mašno daritvijo, prosimo za odpuščanje svojih in tujih grehov. Preden bomo molili za odpuščanje grehov drugih ljudi, je treba, da molimo za odpuščanje svojih grehov. Sv. Monika je zgled za vse čase.
Jezus za zgled ponižne molitve za odpuščanje grehov postavlja cestninarja, ki je prosil:
“Bog bodi milostljiv, meni, grešniku!”

Imamo male in velike ali smrtne grehe. Smrtni greh napravimo, če popolnoma premišljeno in prostovoljno prekršimo važno Božjo zapoved ali prepoved. Če kakšen od teh treh pogojev manjka, je greh mali. Mali grehi samo ranijo Božje življenje v nas, veliki pa ga uničijo. Vsak greh je usmerjen zoper Boga in zoper Božje ljudstvo.
Potrebna je sprava z Bogom in s Cerkvijo.
Za odpuščanje velikih grehov je treba prejeti zakrament sprave, predem gremo k sv.obhajilu. Odpustijo se nam sicer že tedaj, ko obudimo popolno kesanje; pri spovedi pa se jih moramo obtožiti duhovniku kot zastopniku Cerkve in Jezusa Kristusa. Kdor je v velikih grehih, naj si pred vsako drugo prošnjo z molitvijo najprej izprosi od Boga milost popolnega kesanja in temeljitega spreobrnjenja. Odpuščanje pa ni možno, če grešnega življenja nismo pripravljeni spremeniti.
