31 He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. He was teaching them on the Sabbath day, 32 and they were astonished at his teaching, for his word was with authority. 33 In the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice, 34 saying, “Ah! what have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are: the Holy One of God!” 35 Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” When the demon had thrown him down in their midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm. 36 Amazement came on all, and they spoke together, one with another, saying, “What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!” 37 News about him went out into every place of the surrounding region.

31 Prišel je v Kafarnáum, mesto v Galileji, in v soboto učil ljudi. 32 Strmeli so nad njegovim naukom, kajti njegova beseda je bila izrečena z oblastjo. 33 V shodnici je bil človek, ki je imel duha nečistega demona. Z močnim glasom je zavpil: 34 »Ej, kaj imamo s teboj, Jezus Nazarečan? Si nas prišel pokončat? Vem, kdo si: Sveti, Božji.« 35 Jezus pa mu je zapovedal: »Umolkni in pojdi iz njega!UMOLKNI IN POJDI IZ NJEGA« Demon ga je vrgel na sredo in šel iz njega, ne da bi ga poškodoval. 36 Vsi so osupnili in govorili med seboj: »Kakšna je ta beseda! Saj z oblastjo in močjo ukazuje nečistim duhovom in odhajajo.« 37 In glas o njem se je širil po vseh okoliških krajih.

We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness, 6 so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober. 9 For God didn’t appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 11 Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.

1 Kar pa zadeva čase in trenutke, bratje, ni treba, da bi vam pisali o tem, 2 saj sami natančno veste, da bo Gospodov dan prišel, kakor pride tat ponoči. 3 Ko bodo govorili: »Mir in varnost,« tedaj bo nenadoma prišla nadnje poguba, kakor pride porodna bolečina nad nosečnico, in ne bodo ubežali. 4 Vi, bratje, pa niste v temi, da bi vas ta dan presenetil kakor tat, 5 saj ste vsi sinovi luči in sinovi dneva. Nismo sinovi noči in ne teme, 6 zato nikar ne spimo kakor drugi, ampak bodimo budni in trezni.

9 Kajti Bog nas ni namenil za jezo, ampak za to, da pridemo do rešitve po našem Gospodu Jezusu Kristusu, 10 ki je umrl za nas, da bi mi, pa naj bedimo ali spimo, živeli skupaj z njim. 11 Zato tolažíte drug drugega in drug drugega izgrajujte, kakor to že delate.

1 Davidov psalm.
GOSPOD je moja luč in moja rešitev,
koga bi se moral bati?
GOSPOD je trdnjava mojega življenja,
pred kom bi moral trepetati?


4 Za eno prosim GOSPODA,
to skušam doseči:
da bi prebival v GOSPODOVI hiši
vse dni svojega življenja,
da bi zrl GOSPODOVO milino,
premišljal v njegovem templju.

13 Verujem, da bom videl dobroto GOSPODOVO
v deželi živih.


14 Upaj v GOSPODA,
bodi močan, tvoje srce naj se opogumi,
upaj v GOSPODA.
