Rekel jim je:
»Glejte, da se ne daste zavesti! Veliko jih bo namreč prišlo v mojem imenu in bodo govorili:
›Jaz sem,‹ ali ›Čas se je približal.‹
Ne hodíte za njimi.
Lk 21,7-19Lk 21,7-19
English: World English Bible - WEB
7 They asked him, “Teacher, so when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are about to happen?”
8 He said, “Watch out that you don’t get led astray, for many will come in my name, saying, ‘I AM,’ and, ‘The time is at hand.’ Therefore don’t follow them.
9 When you hear of wars and disturbances, don’t be terrified, for these things must happen first, but the end won’t come immediately.”
10 Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
11 There will be great earthquakes, famines, and plagues in various places. There will be terrors and great signs from heaven.
12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you up to synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name’s sake.
13 It will turn out as a testimony for you.
14 Settle it therefore in your hearts not to meditate beforehand how to answer,
15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to withstand or to contradict.
16 You will be handed over even by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. Some of you they will cause to be put to death.
17 You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake.
18 And not a hair of your head will perish.
19 By your endurance you will win your lives.

Evangelij po Mateju
Mt 22,34-40Mt 22,34-40
English: World English Bible - WEB
34 But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, gathered themselves together.
35 One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him.
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”
37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

z vso dušo in z vsem mišljenjem.

Ruth
1
1 It happened in the days when the judges judged, that there was a famine in the land. A certain man of Bethlehem Judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.
3 Elimelech, Naomi’s husband, died; and she was left, and her two sons.
4 They took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they lived there about ten years.
5 Mahlon and Chilion died both of them; and the woman was left of her two children and of her husband.
6 Then she arose with her daughters-in-law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that Yahweh had visited his people in giving them bread.
14 They lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth joined with her.
15 She said, Behold, your sister-in-law is gone back to her people, and to her god: return you after your sister-in-law.
16 Ruth said, “Don’t entreat me to leave you, and to return from following after you, for where you go, I will go; and where you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God;
22 So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter-in-law, with her, who returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.

RUTA
|
| 14 Tedaj sta spet povzdignili svoj glas in zajokali.
Kamor pojdeš ti, pojdem jaz;
kjer boš prenočevala ti, bom prenočevala jaz;
tvoje ljudstvo bo moje ljudstvo
in tvoj Bog bo moj Bog.
|
|
22 Tako se je vrnila Naomí in z njo njena snaha, Moábka Ruta, ki se je vrnila iz moábske dežele. Prišli sta v Betlehem ob začetku ječmenove žetve.

Psalmi 146,5-10Psalmi 146,5-10
English: World English Bible - WEB
5 Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,
Whose hope is in Yahweh, his God:
6 Who made heaven and earth,
The sea, and all that is in them;
Who keeps truth forever;
7 Who executes justice for the oppressed;
Who gives food to the hungry.
Yahweh frees the prisoners.
8 Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind.
Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down.
Yahweh loves the righteous.
9 Yahweh preserves the foreigners.
He upholds the fatherless and widow,
But the way of the wicked he turns upside down.
10 Yahweh will reign forever;
Your God, O Zion, to all generations.
Praise Yah!

5 Blagor mu, komur je Bog Jakobov v pomoč
in je njegovo upanje v GOSPODU, njegovem Bogu,
6 ki je naredil nebo in zemljo,
morje in vse, kar je v njih,
ki varuje zvestobo na veke,
7 ki pomaga do pravice zatiranim,
daje kruha lačnim;
GOSPOD osvobaja jetnike.
8 GOSPOD odpira oči slepim,
GOSPOD vzdiguje upognjene,
GOSPOD ljubi pravične.
9 GOSPOD varuje tujce,
podpira siroto in vdovo,
pot krivičnikov pa izkrivlja.
10 GOSPOD bo kraljeval na veke,
tvoj Bog, o Sion, za vse rodove.
Aleluja!
