1 After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Hallelujah! Salvation, power, and glory belong to our God:
2 for true and righteous are his judgments. For he has judged the great prostitute, who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality, and he has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.”
3 A second said, “Hallelujah! Her smoke goes up forever and ever.”
4 The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sits on the throne, saying, “Amen! Hallelujah!”
5 A voice came forth from the throne, saying, “Give praise to our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, the small and the great!”
6 I heard something like the voice of a great multitude, and like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of mighty thunders, saying, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns!
7 Let us rejoice and be exceedingly glad, and let us give the glory to him. For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his wife has made herself ready.”
8 It was given to her that she would array herself in bright, pure, fine linen: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
9 He said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’” He said to me, “These are true words of God.”
10 I fell down before his feet to worship him. He said to me, “Look! Don’t do it! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy.”

1 “For the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who was the master of a household, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.
2 When he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius A denarius is a silver Roman coin worth 1/25th of a Roman aureus. This was a common wage for a day of farm labor. a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3 He went out about the third hour, Time was measured from sunrise to sunset, so the third hour would be about AM. and saw others standing idle in the marketplace.
4 To them he said, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.’ So they went their way.
5 Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, noon and P. M. and did likewise.
6 About the eleventh hour PM he went out, and found others standing idle. He said to them, ‘Why do you stand here all day idle?’
7 “They said to him, ‘Because no one has hired us.’
“He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and you will receive whatever is right.’
8 When evening had come, the lord of the vineyard said to his steward, ‘Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning from the last to the first.’
9 “When those who were hired at about the eleventh hour came, they each received a denarius.
10 When the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise each received a denarius.
11 When they received it, they murmured against the master of the household,
12 saying, ‘These last have spent one hour, and you have made them equal to us, who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat!’
13 “But he answered one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Didn’t you agree with me for a denarius?
14 Take that which is yours, and go your way. It is my desire to give to this last just as much as to you.
15 Isn’t it lawful for me to do what I want to with what I own? Or is your eye evil, because I am good?’
16 So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few are chosen.”

20 1 »Nebeško kraljestvo je namreč podobno hišnemu gospodarju, ki je šel zgodaj zjutraj najet delavce za svoj vinograd. 2 Z delavci se je pogodil za en denarij na dan in jih je poslal v svoj vinograd. 3 Okrog tretje ure je šel ven in videl druge na trgu postajati brez dela. 4 Tudi tem je rekel: ›Pojdite tudi vi v vinograd, in kar je prav, vam bom dal.‹ 5 In so šli. Okrog šeste in okrog devete ure je spet šel ven in storil prav tako. 6 In ko je šel ven okrog enajste ure, je našel druge, ki so tam postajali, in jim je rekel: ›Kaj postajate tukaj ves dan brez dela?‹ 7 ›Ker nas nihče ni najel,‹ so mu dejali. Tedaj jim je rekel: ›Pojdite tudi vi v vinograd!‹ 8 Pod noč pa je gospodar vinograda rekel svojemu oskrbniku: ›Pokliči delavce in jim plačaj. Začni pri zadnjih in končaj pri prvih.‹ 9 Pristopili so torej tisti, ki so prišli okrog enajste ure, in dobili vsak po en denarij. 10 Ko so prišli prvi, so mislili, da bodo dobili več, vendar so tudi oni dobili vsak po en denarij. 11 In ko so to prejeli, so godrnjali nad hišnim gospodarjem, 12 češ: ›Ti zadnji so delali eno uro in si jih izenačil z nami, ki smo prenašali težo dneva in vročino.‹ 13 Odgovoril je enemu izmed njih: ›Prijatelj, ne delam ti krivice. Ali se nisi pogodil z menoj za en denarij? 14 Vzemi, kar je tvojega, in pojdi! Hočem pa tudi temu zadnjemu dati kakor tebi. 15 Ali ne smem storiti s svojim, kar hočem? Ali je tvoje oko hudobno, ker sem jaz dober?‹ 
16 Tako bodo zadnji prvi in prvi zadnji.«

7 When they told it to Jotham, he went and stood on the top of Mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said to them, Listen to me, you men of Shechem, that God may listen to you.
8 The trees went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said to the olive tree, Reign you over us.
9 But the olive tree said to them, Should I leave my fatness, with which by me they honor God and man, and go to wave back and forth over the trees?
10 The trees said to the fig tree, Come you, and reign over us.
11 But the fig tree said to them, Should I leave my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to wave back and forth over the trees?
12 The trees said to the vine, Come you, and reign over us.
13 The vine said to them, Should I leave my new wine, which cheers God and man, and go to wave back and forth over the trees?
14 Then said all the trees to the bramble, Come you, and reign over us.
15 The bramble said to the trees, If in truth you anoint me king over you, then come and take refuge in my shade; and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.

7 To so sporočili Jotámu in ta je šel, se postavil vrh gore, povzdignil svoj glas in zavpil; rekel je: »Poslušajte me, sihemski gospodje, da vas bo Bog poslušal.
8 Šla so, šla so drevesa,
da si mazilijo kralja.
Rekla so oljki:
›Kraljuj nad nami!‹
9 Oljka jim je rekla:
›Mar naj pustim svojo maščobo,
zaradi katere me poveličujejo Bog in ljudje,
in se grem povzdigovat nad drevesa?‹
10 In drevesa so rekla smokvi:
›Pridi ti, kraljuj nad nami!‹
11 Smokva jim je rekla:
›Mar naj pustim svojo sladkobo
in svoje sladke sadeže
in se grem povzdigovat nad drevesa?‹
12 In drevesa so rekla vinski trti:
›Pridi ti, kraljuj nad nami!‹
13 In vinska trta jim je rekla:
›Mar naj pustim svoje vino,
ki razveseljuje Boga in ljudi
in se grem povzdigovat nad drevesa?‹
14 In vsa drevesa so rekla trnovemu grmu:
›Pridi ti, kraljuj nad nami!‹
15 Rekel je trnov grm drevesom:
›Če me zares mazilite, da kraljujem nad vami,
tedaj pridite in si poiščite zavetje v moji senci!
Če ne, naj plane ogenj iz trnja
in použije libanonske cedre.‹
