30 The apostles gathered themselves together to Jesus, and they told him all things, whatever they had done, and whatever they had taught.
31 He said to them, “You come apart into a deserted place, and rest awhile.” For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
32 They went away in the boat to a desert place by themselves.
33 They TR reads “The multitudes” instead of “They” saw them going, and many recognized him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to him.
34 Jesus came out, saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things.

1 Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! says Yahweh.
2 Therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, against the shepherds who feed my people: You have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them; behold, I will visit on you the evil of your doings, says Yahweh.
3 I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and multiply.
4 I will set up shepherds over them, who shall feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be lacking, says Yahweh.
5 Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name by which he shall be called: Yahweh our righteousness.

Zanemarjena čreda bo spet v dobrih rokah
1 Gorje pastirjem, ki pogubljajo in razganjajo ovce moje paše, govori GOSPOD. 2 Zato tako govori GOSPOD, Izraelov Bog, zoper pastirje, ki pasejo moje ljudstvo: Vi ste razgnali moje ovce, jih razkropili in niste skrbeli zanje. Bom pa jaz skrbel, da kaznujem vaša hudobna dejanja, govori GOSPOD. 3 Sam bom zbral ostanek svojih ovc iz vseh dežel, kamor sem jih razkropil, in jih pripeljal nazaj na njihov pašnik, da se bodo plodile in množile. 4 Postavil jim bom pastirje, da jih bodo pasli. Ne bodo se več bale ne plašile in nobena ne bo pogrešana, govori GOSPOD.
Mesija, pravi pastir
5 Glej, pridejo dnevi, govori GOSPOD, ko obudim Davidu pravično mladiko. Vladal bo kot kralj in bo modro ravnal, prav in pravično bo delal v deželi. 6 V njegovih dneh bo Juda rešen in Izrael bo prebival na varnem. To pa je ime, s katerim ga bodo klicali: »GOSPOD, naša pravičnost.«

Dobri pastir in gostitelj
1 Davidov psalm.
GOSPOD je moj pastir,
nič mi ne manjka.
2 Na zelenih pašnikih mi daje ležišče;
k vodam počitka me vodi.
3 Mojo dušo poživlja,
vodi me po pravih stezah
zaradi svojega imena.
4 Tudi če bi hodil po globeli smrtne sence,
se ne bojim hudega, ker si ti z menoj,
tvoja palica in tvoja opora, ti me tolažita.
5 Pred mano pogrinjaš mizo
vpričo mojih nasprotnikov;
z oljem mi maziliš glavo,
moja čaša je prepolna.
6 Le dobrota in milina me bosta spremljali
vse dni mojega življenja;
prebival bom v hiši GOSPODOVI
vse dni življenja.

13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who made both one, and broke down the middle wall of partition,
15 having abolished in the flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace;
16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, having killed the hostility thereby.
17 He came and preached peace to you who were far off and to those who were near.
18 For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

13 Zdaj pa ste v Kristusu Jezusu vi, ki ste bili nekoč oddaljeni, postali po Kristusovi krvi bližnji. 14 Kajti on je naš mir, on, ki je iz obeh napravil eno, s tem da je podrl steno pregrade, to je sovraštvo. 15 V svojem mesu je odpravil postavo zapovedi v predpisih, da bi v sebi iz dveh ustvaril enega, novega človeka. Vzpostavil je mir 16 in po križu spravil oba z Bogom v enem telesu, ko je v svoji osebi ubil sovraštvo. 17 Prišel je, da bi oznanil mir vam, ki ste bili daleč, in mir tistim, ki so bili blizu. 18 Kajti po njem imamo oboji dostop k Očetu v enem Duhu.

14 But the Pharisees went out, and conspired against him, how they might destroy him.
15 Jesus, perceiving that, withdrew from there. Great multitudes followed him; and he healed them all,
16 and charged them that they should not make him known:
17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
18 “Behold, my servant whom I have chosen;
My beloved in whom my soul is well pleased:
I will put my Spirit on him.
He will proclaim justice to the Gentiles.
19 He will not strive, nor shout;
Neither will anyone hear his voice in the streets.
20 He won’t break a bruised reed.
He won’t quench a smoking flax,
Until he leads justice to victory.
21 In his name, the Gentiles will hope.”

15 Ko je Jezus to izvedel, se je umaknil od tam. Veliko jih je šlo za njim in vse je ozdravil. 16 Zapovedal pa jim je, naj ga ne razglašajo, 17 da se je izpolnilo, kar je bilo rečeno po preroku Izaiju:
18 Glej, to je moj služabnik, ki sem ga izvolil,
moj ljubljeni, nad katerim ima veselje moja duša.
Svojega duha bom položil nanj
in narodom bo oznanil sodbo.
19 Ne bo se prepiral in ne vpil,
nihče ne bo na ulicah slišal njegovega glasu.
20 Nalomljenega trsta ne bo zlomil
in tlečega stenja ne ugasil,
dokler ne privede sodbe do zmage.
21 In v njegovo ime bodo upali narodi.

37 The children of Israel traveled from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot who were men, besides children.
38 A mixed multitude went up also with them, with flocks, herds, and even very much cattle.
39 They baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt; for it wasn’t leavened, because they were thrust out of Egypt, and couldn’t wait, neither had they prepared for themselves any food.
40 Now the time that the children of Israel lived in Egypt was four hundred thirty years.
41 It happened at the end of four hundred thirty years, even the same day it happened, that all the armies of Yahweh went out from the land of Egypt.
42 It is a night to be much observed to Yahweh for bringing them out from the land of Egypt. This is that night of Yahweh, to be much observed of all the children of Israel throughout their generations.

37 Izraelovi sinovi so se odpravili iz Ramesésa v Sukót, kakih šeststo tisoč pešcev, mož brez otrok. 38 Tudi dosti drugih ljudi je šlo z njimi ter drobnica in govedo, silno veliko živine. 39 Iz testa, ki so ga prinesli iz Egipta, so spekli nekvašen kruh podpepelnike, ker ni bilo skvašeno. Ker so jih izgnali iz Egipta, se niso mogli muditi in si tudi popotnice niso pripravili.
40 Časa, ki so ga Izraelovi sinovi prebili v Egiptu, je bilo štiristo trideset let. 41 Po štiristo tridesetih letih so ravno ta dan vse GOSPODOVE čete odšle iz egiptovske dežele. 42 To je bila noč bedenja za GOSPODA, ko jih je izpeljal iz egiptovske dežele. To noč naj bedijo za GOSPODA vsi Izraelovi sinovi iz roda v rod.
