11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
12 He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who doesn’t own the sheep, sees the wolf coming, leaves the sheep, and flees. The wolf snatches the sheep, and scatters them.
13 The hired hand flees because he is a hired hand, and doesn’t care for the sheep.
14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and I’m known by my own;
15 even as the Father knows me, and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep.
16 I have other sheep, which are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will hear my voice. They will become one flock with one shepherd.

11 Jaz sem dobri pastir. Dobri pastir da svoje življenje za ovce. 12 Tisti pa, ki je najemnik in ne pastir in ovce niso njegove, pusti ovce in zbeži, ko vidi, da prihaja volk, in volk jih pograbi in razkropi. 13 Je pač najemnik in mu za ovce ni mar. 14 Jaz sem dobri pastir in poznam svoje in moje poznajo mene, 15 kakor Oče pozna mene in jaz poznam Očeta. Svoje življenje dam za ovce.
16 Imam še druge ovce, ki niso iz tega hleva. Tudi tiste moram pripeljati in poslušale bodo moj glas in bo ena čreda, en pastir.

11 For thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I myself, even I, will search for my sheep, and will seek them out.
12 As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered abroad, so will I seek out my sheep; and I will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
13 I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
14 I will feed them with good pasture; and on the mountains of the height of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie down in a good fold; and on fat pasture shall they feed on the mountains of Israel.
15 I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I will cause them to lie down, says the Lord Yahweh.
16 I will seek that which was lost, and will bring back that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but the fat and the strong I will destroy; I will feed them in justice.

11 Da, tako govori Gospod BOG: Glejte, jaz sam bom poskrbel za svoje ovce in jih poiskal. 12 Kakor pastir išče svojo čredo, ko je sredi med razkropljenimi ovcami, tako bom tudi jaz poiskal svoje ovce in jih rešil iz vseh krajev, kamor so se razkropile oblačnega in temačnega dne. 13 Odpeljal jih bom izmed ljudstev, jih zbral iz dežel in pripeljal na njihovo zemljo. Pasel jih bom po Izraelovih gorah, po dolinah in po vseh naseljih v deželi. 14 Na dobri paši jih bom pasel, na Izraelovih gorskih višinah bodo njihovi pašniki. Tam bodo poležavale na lepem pašniku; imele bodo obilno pašo na Izraelovih gorah. 15 Sam bom pasel svoje ovce in sam jim bom dajal počitek, govori Gospod BOG. 16 Izgubljene bom poiskal, razgnane pripeljal nazaj, polomljene obvezal, bolne okrepčal, rejene in krepke obvaroval. Pasel jih bom, kakor je prav.

Dobri pastir in gostitelj
1 Davidov psalm.
GOSPOD je moj pastir,
nič mi ne manjka.
2 Na zelenih pašnikih mi daje ležišče;
k vodam počitka me vodi.
3 Mojo dušo poživlja,
vodi me po pravih stezah
zaradi svojega imena.
4 Tudi če bi hodil po globeli smrtne sence,
se ne bojim hudega, ker si ti z menoj,
tvoja palica in tvoja opora, ti me tolažita.
5 Pred mano pogrinjaš mizo
vpričo mojih nasprotnikov;
z oljem mi maziliš glavo,
moja čaša je prepolna.
6 Le dobrota in milina me bosta spremljali
vse dni mojega življenja;
prebival bom v hiši GOSPODOVI
vse dni življenja.

1 Praise Yah!
Praise the name of Yahweh!
Praise him, you servants of Yahweh,
2 You who stand in the house of Yahweh,
In the courts of our God’s house.
3 Praise Yah, for Yahweh is good.
Sing praises to his name, for that is pleasant.
4 For Yah has chosen Jacob for himself;
Israel for his own possession.
5 For I know that Yahweh is great,
That our Lord is above all gods.
6 Whatever Yahweh pleased, that he has done,
In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps;
7 Who causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth;
Who makes lightnings with the rain;
Who brings forth the wind out of his treasuries;
8 Who struck the firstborn of Egypt,
Both of man and animal;
9 Who sent signs and wonders into the midst of you, Egypt,
On Pharaoh, and on all his servants;
10 Who struck many nations,
And killed mighty kings,
