27 “You have heard that it was said, TR adds “to the ancients,” ‘You shall not commit adultery;’
28 but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.
29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.
30 If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not your whole body be thrown into Gehenna.
31 “It was also said, ‘Whoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorce,’
32 but I tell you that whoever puts away his wife, except for the cause of sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is put away commits adultery.

O prešuštvu
27 »Slišali ste, da je bilo rečeno: Ne prešuštvuj! 28 Jaz pa vam pravim: 
Kdor koli gleda žensko, da jo poželi, je v srcu že prešuštvoval z njo. 29 Če te desno oko pohujšuje, ga iztakni in vrzi od sebe; kajti bolje je zate, da izgubiš en del telesa, kakor da bi bilo célo tvoje telo vrženo v peklensko dolino. 30 In če te desna roka pohujšuje, jo odsekaj in vrzi od sebe, kajti bolje je zate, da izgubiš en del telesa, kakor da bi célo tvoje telo prišlo v peklensko dolino.«
O ločitvi
31 »Rečeno je bilo: Kdor se loči od svoje žene, naj ji dá ločitveni list. 32 Jaz pa vam pravim: Kdor se loči od svoje žene, razen če se zaradi nečistovanja, povzroči, da ona prešuštvuje. In kdor se z ločeno oženi, prešuštvuje.«

7 But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves.
8 We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair;
9 pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed;
10 always carrying in the body the putting to death of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
11 For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus may be revealed in our mortal flesh.
12 So then death works in us, but life in you.
13 But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, “I believed, and therefore I spoke.” We also believe, and therefore also we speak;
14 knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus, and will present us with you.
15 For all things are for your sakes, that the grace, being multiplied through the many, may cause the thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

7 Ta zaklad pa imamo v lončenih posodah, da bi bila ta presežnost moči Božja in ne iz nas. 8 Od vseh strani pritiskajo na nas, pa nismo utesnjeni. Ne vidimo poti, pa jo še najdemo. 9 Preganjajo nas, pa nismo zapuščeni. Ob tla nas mečejo, pa nismo uničeni. 10 Vedno nosimo v svojem telesu Jezusovo umiranje, da bi se v našem telesu razodelo tudi Jezusovo življenje. 11 Čeprav še živimo, nas zaradi Jezusa vedno pošiljajo v smrt, da bi se tudi Jezusovo življenje razodelo v našem umrljivem mesu. 12 Tako v nas deluje smrt, v vas pa življenje. 13 Ker pa imamo istega duha vere, kakor je pisano: Veroval sem, zato sem govoril, tudi mi verujemo in zato tudi govorimo. 14 Vemo namreč, da bo tisti, ki je obudil Gospoda Jezusa, tudi nas obudil z Jezusom in nas hkrati z vami postavil predse. 15 Vse to je namreč zaradi vas, da bi se milost zaradi večje množice pomnožila in s tem obogatila zahvaljevanje v Božjo slavo.

smrt njegovih zvestih.
16 O GOSPOD, zares sem tvoj služabnik,
tvoj služabnik sem, sin tvoje služabnice,
razvozlal si moje vezi.
17 Tebi bom daroval zahvalno daritev
in klical bom ime GOSPODOVO.
18 Svoje zaobljube GOSPODU bom izpolnil
pred vsem njegovim ljudstvom,
