12 On the first day of unleavened bread, when they sacrificed the Passover, his disciples asked him, “Where do you want us to go and make ready that you may eat the Passover?”
13 He sent two of his disciples, and said to them, “Go into the city, and there you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water. Follow him,
14 and wherever he enters in, tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’
15 He will himself show you a large upper room furnished and ready. Make ready for us there.”
16 His disciples went out, and came into the city, and found things as he had said to them, and they prepared the Passover.
22 As they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had blessed, he broke it, and gave to them, and said, “Take, eat. This is my body.”
23 He took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave to them. They all drank of it.
24 He said to them, “This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many.
25 Most assuredly I tell you, I will no more drink of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it anew in the Kingdom of God.”
26 When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Velikonočna večerja z učenci
12 Prvi dan nekvašenega kruha, ko so žrtvovali pashalno jagnje, so mu rekli njegovi učenci: »Kam hočeš, da gremo in ti pripravimo, da boš jedel pashalno jagnje?« 13 Tedaj je poslal dva izmed učencev in jima rekel: »Pojdita v mesto in naproti vama bo prišel moški, ki bo nosil vrč vode. Pojdita za njim 14 in tam, kjer bo vstopil, recita hišnemu gospodarju: ›Učitelj pravi: Kje je moj prostor, kjer bi jedel pashalno jagnje s svojimi učenci?‹ 15 In pokazal vama bo v nadstropju veliko jedilnico, pripravljeno in urejeno; tam nam pripravita.« 16 Učenca sta odšla. Prišla sta v mesto in našla, kakor jima je povedal, in sta pripravila pashalno jagnje.

3 Moses came and told the people all the words of Yahweh, and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, “All the words which Yahweh has spoken will we do.”
4 Moses wrote all the words of Yahweh, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under the mountain, and twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel.
5 He sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace-offerings of oxen to Yahweh.
6 Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
7 He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said, “All that Yahweh has spoken will we do, and be obedient.”
8 Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh has made with you concerning all these words.”

3 Mojzes je prišel in povedal ljudstvu vse GOSPODOVE besede in odloke. In vse ljudstvo je odgovorilo z enim glasom; rekli so: »Vse besede, ki jih je govoril GOSPOD, bomo izpolnjevali.« 4 Mojzes je zapisal vse GOSPODOVE besede.
Potem je zjutraj zgodaj vstal in postavil oltar pod goro in dvanajst spominskih kamnov za dvanajst Izraelovih rodov. 5 Nato je poslal mladeniče izmed Izraelovih sinov, da so darovali žgalne daritve in žrtvovali junce kot mirovne daritve za GOSPODA. 6 Mojzes je vzel polovico krvi in jo vlil v kotlico, polovico krvi pa je poškropil po oltarju. 7 Potem je vzel knjigo zaveze in jo prebral ljudstvu. Tedaj so rekli: »Vse, kar je govoril GOSPOD, bomo izpolnjevali; pokorni bomo.« 8 In Mojzes je vzel kri in z njo poškropil ljudstvo in rekel: »Glejte, to je kri zaveze, ki jo je GOSPOD po vseh teh besedah sklenil z vami.«

11 But Christ having come as a high priest of the coming good things, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation,
12 nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption.
13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify to the cleanness of the flesh:
14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15 For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

11 Nato pa je prišel Kristus kot véliki duhovnik dobrih stvari, ki so se zgodile. Skozi večji in popolnejši šotor, ki ni narejen z rokami, se pravi, ki ni od tega stvarstva, 12 je stopil v svetišče enkrat za vselej, ne s krvjo kozlov in juncev, temveč s svojo krvjo, in dosegel večno odkupljenje. 13 Kajti če škropljenje s krvjo kozlov in volov in juničjim pepelom omadeževane posvečuje, da se jim očisti meso, 14 koliko bolj bo kri Kristusa, ki je po večnem Duhu sam sebe brezmadežnega daroval Bogu, očistila našo vest mrtvih del, da bomo služili živemu Bogu.
15 Zato je srednik nove zaveze, da bi po smrti, ki jo je pretrpel za odkupitev od prestopkov v prvi zavezi, tisti, ki so poklicani, prejeli obljubljeno večno dediščino.
