1 To sem vam povedal, da se ne pohujšate. 2 Iz shodnic vas bodo izobčili; pride celo
ura, ko bo vsak, kdor vas umori, mislil, da opravlja bogoslužno daritev. 3 In to bodo

11 Setting sail therefore from Troas, we made a straight course to Samothrace, and the day following to Neapolis; 12 and from there to Philippi, which is a city of Macedonia, the foremost of the district, a Roman colony. We were staying some days in this city. 13 On the Sabbath day we went forth outside of the city by a riverside, where we supposed there was a place of prayer, and we sat down, and spoke to the women who had come together. 14 A certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, one who worshiped God, heard us; whose heart the Lord opened to listen to the things which were spoken by Paul. 15 When she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and stay.” So she persuaded us.

Prihod v Filípe
11 Iz Troáde smo po najkrajši poti odjadrali do Samotrake, naslednjega dne pa v
Neápolo. 12 Od tam smo odrinili v Filípe; to je mesto v prvem okrožju Makedonije
in rimska kolonija. V tem mestu smo ostali nekaj dni. 13 Na sobotni dan smo šli
skozi mestna vrata ob reki, ker smo domnevali, da je tam prostor za molitev.
Sedli smo in se pogovarjali z ženskami, ki so se tam zbirale. 14 Poslušala nas
je tudi ženska, Lidija po imenu, trgovka s škrlatnimi oblačili v mestu Tiatiri.
Bila je bogaboječa in Gospod je odprl njeno srce, da je prisluhnila Pavlovim
besedam. 15 Ko se je dala krstiti ona in vsa njena hiša, nas je povabila z
besedami: »Če ste prepričani, da verujem v Gospoda, stopíte v mojo hišo
in ostanite tu!« Primorala nas je, da smo vstopili.

Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. 3 Let them praise his name in the dance! Let them sing praises to him with tambourine and harp! 4 For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation. 5 Let the saints rejoice in honor. Let them sing for joy on their beds. 6 May the high praises of God be in their mouths, And a two-edged sword in their hand; 9 To execute on them the written judgment. All his saints have this honor. Praise Yah!

1 Aleluja!
Pojte GOSPODU novo pesem,
njegovo hvalnico v zborih zvestih!
2 Izrael naj se veseli v njem, ki ga je naredil,
sinovi sionski naj se radujejo v svojem Kralju.
3 Naj hvalijo njegovo ime s plesom,
na boben in citre naj mu igrajo.
4 Zakaj GOSPODU je po volji njegovo ljudstvo,
ponižne venča z zmago.
5 Zvesti naj vriskajo od veselja v njegovi slavi,
naj vriskajo na svojih ležiščih.
6 V njihovem grlu naj bodo Božji slavospevi
in dvorezni meči v njihovi roki,

9 da izvršijo nad njimi napisano sodbo,
to je čast za vse njegove zveste.
