9 Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.
10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love.
11 I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.

9 Kakor je Oče mene ljubil, sem tudi jaz vas ljubil. Ostanite v moji ljubezni! 10 Če se boste držali mojih zapovedi, boste ostali v moji ljubezni, kakor sem se tudi jaz držal zapovedi svojega Očeta in ostajam v njegovi ljubezni.
11 To sem vam povedal, da bo moje veselje v vas in da bo vaše veselje dopolnjeno.

7 When there had been much discussion, Peter rose up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that a good while ago God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the Gospel, and believe.
8 God, who knows the heart, testified about them, giving them the Holy Spirit, just like he did to us.
9 He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.
10 Now therefore why do you tempt God, that you should put a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, TR adds “Christ” just as they are.”
12 All the multitude kept silence, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul reporting what signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them.
13 After they were silent, James answered, “Brothers, listen to me.
14 Simeon has reported how God first visited the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
15 This agrees with the words of the prophets. As it is written,
16 ‘After these things I will return.
I will again build the tent of David, which has fallen.
I will again build its ruins.
I will set it up,
17 That the rest of men may seek after the Lord;
All the Gentiles who are called by my name,
Says the Lord, who does all these things.
18 All his works are known to God from eternity.’
19 “Therefore my judgment is that we don’t trouble those from among the Gentiles who turn to God,
20 but that we write to them that they abstain from the pollution of idols, from sexual immorality, from what is strangled, and from blood.
21 For Moses from generations of old has in every city those who preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

| 7 Po daljšem razpravljanju je Peter vstal in jim spregovoril: »Bratje! Vi veste, da me je Bog že pred davnim časom izbral izmed vas, da bi pogani po mojih ustih slišali besedo evangelija in sprejeli vero. 8 Bog, ki pozna srca, je to izpričal tako, da jim je dal Svetega Duha prav tako kakor nam. 9 Nobene razlike ni naredil med nami in njimi, saj je z vero očistil njihova srca. 10 Zakaj torej zdaj preizkušate Boga in hočete naložiti na tilnik učencev jarem, ki ga ne naši očetje ne mi nismo mogli nositi? 11 Mi vendar verujemo, da smo po milosti Gospoda Jezusa odrešeni tako kakor oni.«
12 Vsa množica je utihnila. Nato so poslušali Barnaba in Pavla, ko sta pripovedovala, kako velika znamenja in čudeže je Bog po njiju storil med pogani. 13 Ko sta umolknila, je spregovoril Jakob: »Poslušajte me, bratje! 14 Simon nam je razložil, kako je Bog že od začetka gledal, da bi iz poganov izbral ljudstvo zase. 15 S tem se tudi ujemajo besede prerokov, kakor je pisano:
16 Potem se bom vrnil
in spet bom sezidal Davidovo hišo iz razvalin,
na ruševinah jo bom spet sezidal
in na novo postavil,
17 da bodo iskali Gospoda tudi drugi ljudje
in vsa ljudstva, nad katerimi se kliče moje ime,
govori Gospod, ki uresničuje, 18 kar mu je znano od vekomaj.
19 Zato jaz mislim, da ne smemo delati težav tistim poganom, ki se spreobračajo k Bogu. 20 Rajši jim naročimo, naj se ne omadežujejo s tem, kar je darovano malikom, naj se vzdržijo nečistovanja ter mesa zadavljenih živali in krvi. 21 Mojzes ima namreč že od davnih rodov svoje oznanjevalce po vseh mestih, saj ga vsako soboto beró po shodnicah.«

Sing to Yahweh, all the earth.
2 Sing to Yahweh!
Bless his name!
Proclaim his salvation from day to day!
3 Declare his glory among the nations,
His marvelous works among all the peoples.
10 Say among the nations, “Yahweh reigns.”
The world is also established.
It can’t be moved.
He will judge the peoples with equity.

Kralj in sodnik vsega sveta
1 Pojte GOSPODU novo pesem,
pojte GOSPODU, vsa zemlja!
2 Pojte GOSPODU, njegovo ime slavite,
oznanjujte dan za dnem njegovo odrešenje!
3 Pripovedujte med narodi o njegovi slavi,
med vsemi ljudstvi o njegovih čudovitih delih!

10 Govorite med narodi: »GOSPOD kraljuje,
zares, trden je svet, ne bo omahnil;
ljudstva bo sodil z iskrenostjo.«
