60 Therefore many of his disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying! Who can listen to it?” 61 But Jesus knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said to them, “Does this cause you to stumble? 62 Then what if you would see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? 63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life. 64 But there are some of you who don’t believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who didn’t believe, and who it was who would betray him. 65 He said, “For this cause have I said to you that no one can come to me, unless it is given to him by my Father.” 66 At this, many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67 Jesus said therefore to the twelve, “You don’t also want to go away, do you?” 68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 We have come to believe and know that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

60 Veliko njegovih učencev, ki so to slišali, je reklo: »Trda je ta beseda. Kdo jo more poslušati?« 61 Ker je Jezus v sebi vedel, da njegovi učenci godrnjajo nad tem, jim je rekel: »To vam je v spotiko? 62 In če boste videli Sina človekovega iti gor, kjer je bil prej? 63 Duh je tisti, ki oživlja, meso nič ne koristi. Besede, ki sem vam jih govoril, so duh in življenje. 64 Toda med vami so nekateri, ki ne verujejo.« Jezus je namreč od začetka vedel, kateri ne verujejo in kdo ga bo izdal. 65 Govoril jim je: »Zaradi tega sem vam rekel: Nihče ne more priti k meni, če mu ni dano od Očeta.«
66 Po tistem je mnogo njegovih učencev odšlo in niso več hodili z njim. 67 Jezus je tedaj rekel dvanajsterim: »Ali hočete tudi vi oditi?« Simon Peter mu je odvrnil: 68 »Gospod, h komu naj gremo? Besede večnega življenja imašampak-v-duhu 69 in mi trdno verujemo in vemo, da si ti Sveti, Božji.«

31 So the assemblies throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace, and were built up. They were multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit. 32 It happened, as Peter went throughout all those parts, he came down also to the saints who lived at Lydda. 33 There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden for eight years, because he was paralyzed. 34 Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and make your bed!” Immediately he arose. 35 All who lived at Lydda and in Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord. 36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which when translated, means Dorcas. “Dorcas” is Greek for “Gazelle.” This woman was full of good works and acts of mercy which she did. 37 It happened in those days that she fell sick, and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper chamber. 38 As Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men Reading from NU, TR; MT omits “two men” to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to them. 39 Peter got up and went with them. When he had come, they brought him into the upper chamber. All the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the coats and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them. 40 Peter put them all out, and kneeled down and prayed. Turning to the body, he said, “Tabitha, get up!” She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up. 41 He gave her his hand, and raised her up. Calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive. 42 And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.

Obdobje miru
31 Cerkev je tedaj po vsej Judeji, Galileji in Samariji živela v miru. Izgrajevala se je, napredovala v strahu Gospodovem ter rastla v tolažbi Svetega Duha.
Peter ozdravi hromega Enéja
32 Peter je potoval vsepovsod in tako je prišel tudi med svete, ki so prebivali v Lidi. 33 Tam je našel moža z imenom Enéj, ki je že osem let ležal v postelji, ker je bil hrom. 34 Peter mu je rekel: »Enéj, Jezus Kristus te ozdravlja! Vstani in postelji si ležišče!« In pri priči je vstal. 35 Videli so ga vsi, ki prebivajo v Lidi in Šarónu, in se spreobrnili h Gospodu.
Peter obudi Tabíto
36 V Jopi je živela učenka, ki ji je bilo ime Tabíta, kar v prevodu pomeni »Gazela«; bila je polna dobrih del in rada je delila miloščino. 37 Ravno v tistih dneh pa je zbolela in umrla. Umili so jo in položili v gornji prostor hiše. 38 Jopa leži nedaleč od Lide. In ker so učenci slišali, da se tam mudi Peter, so poslali k njemu dva moža s prošnjo: »Brez odlašanja pridi k nam!« 39 Peter je vstal in šel z njima. Ko je prispel tja, so ga peljali v gornji prostor. Obstopile so ga vdove, ki so vse imele solzne oči; razkazovale so mu halje in obleke, ki jih je bila sešila Gazela, ko je živela med njimi. 40 Peter je poslal vse ljudi iz izbe, pokleknil in molil. Nato se je obrnil k truplu in rekel: »Tabíta, vstani!« Odprla je oči, in ko je zagledala Petra, je sedla. 41 Dal ji je roko in ji pomagal vstati. Nato je poklical svete in vdove in jim jo pokazal živo. 42 Novica o tem se je razvedela po vsej Jopi in veliko ljudi je sprejelo vero v Gospoda.
