30 The apostles gathered themselves together to Jesus, and they told him all things, whatever they had done, and whatever they had taught. ³¹ He said to them, “You come apart into a deserted place, and rest awhile.” For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. ³² They went away in the boat to a desert place by themselves. ³³ They TR reads “The multitudes” instead of “They” saw them going, and many recognized him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to him. ³⁴ Jesus came out, saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things.

30 Apostoli so se zbrali pri Jezusu in mu poročali o vsem, kar so storili in učili. 31 Tedaj jim je rekel: »Pojdite sami zase v samoten kraj in se malo odpočijte!« Mnogo ljudi je namreč prihajalo in odhajalo, tako da še jesti niso utegnili. 32 In odrinili so s čolnom sami zase v samoten kraj. 33 Mnogi pa so jih videli, da odhajajo, in so jih prepoznali. Iz vseh mest so skupaj peš hiteli tja in prišli pred njimi. 34 Ko se je Jezus izkrcal, je zagledal veliko množico. Zasmilili so se mu, ker so bili kakor ovce, ki nimajo pastirja, in jih je začel učiti mnogo stvari.

15 Through him, then, let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which make confession to his name. ¹⁶ But don’t forget to be doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. ¹⁷ Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they watch on behalf of your souls, as those who will give account, that they may do this with joy, and not with groaning, for that would be unprofitable for you. ²⁰ Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus, ²¹ make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever.
