21 He said to them, “Is the lamp brought to be put under a basket Literally, a modion, a dry measuring basket containing about a peck or under a bed? Isn’t it put on a stand?
22 For there is nothing hidden, except that it should be made known; neither was anything made secret, but that it should come to light.
23 If any man has ears to hear, let him hear.”
24 He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you, and more will be given to you who hear.
25 For whoever has, to him will more be given, and he who doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.”

21 In govoril jim je: »Mar zato prinesejo svetilko, da jo postavijo pod mernik ali pod posteljo? Mar ne zato, da jo dajo na podstavek? 22 Nič namreč ni skrito, če ne zato, da bi bilo razodeto, in nič ni postalo zakrito, če ne zato, da bi prišlo na dan. 23 Če ima kdo ušesa za poslušanje, naj posluša!« 
24 In govoril jim je: »Pazíte, kaj poslušate! S kakršno mero merite, s takšno se vam bo merilo in še navrglo se vam bo. 25 Kdor namreč ima, se mu bo dalo, in kdor nima, se mu bo vzelo tudi to, kar ima.«

19 Having therefore, brothers, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
20 by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 and having a great priest over the house of God,
22 let’s draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water,
23 let us hold fast the confession of our hope unyieldingly. For he who promised is faithful.
24 Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works,
25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching.

19 Bratje, ker imamo zaupnost, da po Jezusovi krvi stopamo v svetišče, 20 in sicer po novi in živi poti, ki nam jo je odprl skozi zagrinjalo, to je skozi svoje meso, 21 in imamo tudi veličastnega duhovnika nad Božjo hišo, 22 prihajajmo z resničnim srcem in v polni gotovosti vere, saj smo v srcih očiščeni slabe vesti in naše telo je umito s čisto vodo. 23 Oklepajmo se neomajne izpovedi upanja, ker je on, ki je dal obljubo, vreden zaupanja. 24 Mislimo drug na drugega, takó da se spodbujajmo k ljubezni in dobrim delom. 25 Ne zapuščajmo svojega zbora, kakor imajo nekateri navado, marveč drug drugega spodbujajmo, in to tem bolj, čim bolj vidite, da se bliža dan.

A Psalm by David.
1 The earth is Yahweh’s, with its fullness;
The world, and those who dwell therein.
2 For he has founded it on the seas,
And established it on the floods.
3 Who may ascend to Yahweh’s hill?
Who may stand in his holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart;
Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood,
And has not sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive a blessing from Yahweh,
Righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of those who seek Him,
Who seek your face—even Jacob.
Selah.

PSALM 24 (23)
Vhod v svetišče
1 Davidov psalm.
GOSPODOVA je zemlja in kar jo napolnjuje,
zemeljski krog in njegovi prebivalci.
2 Zakaj on jo je osnoval na morjih,
on jo je utrdil na veletokih.
3 Kdo se sme povzpeti na GOSPODOVO goro,
kdo sme stati na njegovem svetem kraju?
4 Tisti, ki je nedolžnih rok in čistega srca,
ki svoje duše ne vzdiguje k praznim rečem
in ne prisega na prevaro.
5 Prejel bo blagoslov od GOSPODA,
pravičnost od Boga svoje rešitve.
6 To je rod tistih, ki po njem povprašujejo,
ki iščejo tvoje obličje, Jakob.
