1 He entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there who had his hand withered.
2 They watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him.
3 He said to the man who had his hand withered, “Stand up.”
4 He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?” But they were silent.
5 When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.
6 The Pharisees went out, and immediately conspired with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

Mož s suho roko
1 Jezus je spet šel v shodnico in tam je bil človek, ki je imel suho roko. 2 Prežali so nanj, ali ga bo ozdravil v soboto, da bi ga tožili. 3 Tedaj je rekel možu s suho roko: »Vstani in stopi v sredo!« 4 Njim pa je rekel: »Ali se sme v soboto delati dobro ali zlo, življenje rešiti ali uničiti?« Ti pa so molčali. 5 Jezno jih je premeril z očmi in žalosten nad zakrknjenostjo njihovih src rekel človeku: »Iztegni roko!« Iztegnil jo je in roka je bila ozdravljena. 6 In farizeji so takoj odšli in se s herodovci posvetovali zoper njega, kako bi ga umorili.

1 For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,
2 to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all (being first, by interpretation, king of righteousness, and then also king of Salem, which is king of peace;
3 without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God), remains a priest continually.
15 This is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of Melchizedek there arises another priest,
16 who has been made, not after the law of a fleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life:
17 for it is testified,
“You are a priest forever,
According to the order of Melchizedek.”

Melkízedekovo duhovništvo
1 Ta Melkízedek, kralj v Salemu, duhovnik Najvišjega Boga, je šel naproti Abrahamu, ko se je ta vračal iz poboja kraljev, in ga je blagoslovil; 2 in njemu je Abraham odmeril desetino od vsega. Melkízedekovo ime pomeni najprej kralj pravičnosti; kralj Salema pa pomeni tudi kralj miru. 3 Brez očeta je, brez matere, brez rodovnika, brez začetka dni in brez konca življenja; podoben pa je Božjemu Sinu in ostane duhovnik za vselej.

| 15 Vse postane še bolj očitno, če nastopi drug duhovnik, ki je podoben Melkízedeku, 16 ta, ki ni postal duhovnik po postavi mesene zapovedi, temveč po moči neuničljivega življenja. 17 Pričevanje se namreč glasi:
Ti si duhovnik na veke
po Melkízedekovem redu.

A Psalm by David.
1 Yahweh says to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand,
Until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet.”
2 Yahweh will send forth the rod of your strength out of Zion.
Rule in the midst of your enemies.
3 Your people offer themselves willingly in the day of your power, in holy array.
Out of the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth.
4 Yahweh has sworn, and will not change his mind:
“You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”

Ustoličenje kralja duhovnika
1 Davidov psalm.
GOSPODOV govor mojemu Gospodu:
»Sédi na mojo desnico,
dokler ne položim tvojih sovražnikov
za podnožje tvojih nog.«
2 Žezlo tvoje moči
pošilja GOSPOD s Siona,
vladaj sredi svojih sovražnikov.
3 Tvoje ljudstvo bo voljno
na dan tvoje moči
v svetem sijaju.
Iz naročja jutranje zarje
pride zate rosa tvojega otroštva.
4 GOSPOD je prisegel
in se ne bo kesal:
»Ti si duhovnik na veke
po Melkízedekovem redu.«
