14 Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God,
15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Gospel.”
16 Passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net in the sea, for they were fishermen.
17 Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.”
18 Immediately they left their nets, and followed him.
19 Going on a little further from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John, his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.
20 Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.

JEZUSOVO DELOVANJE V GALILEJI
Začetek javnega delovanja
14 Ko pa je bil Janez izročen, je šel Jezus v Galilejo. Oznanjal je Božji evangelij 15 in govoril: »Čas se je dopolnil in Božje kraljestvo se je približalo. Spreobrnite se in verujte evangeliju!«
Jezus pokliče štiri ribiče
16 Ko je šel ob Galilejskem jezeru, je zagledal Simona in Andreja, Simonovega brata, ki sta metala mrežo v jezero; bila sta namreč ribiča. 17 Jezus jima je rekel: »Hodita za menoj in naredil vaju bom za ribiča ljudi!« 18 Takoj sta pustila mreže in šla za njim. 19 Ko je šel malo naprej, je zagledal Jakoba, Zebedejevega sina, in njegovega brata Janeza, ki sta bila tudi v čolnu in popravljala mreže. 20 Takoj ju je poklical. In pustila sta očeta Zebedeja z najemniki v čolnu ter odšla za njim.

The Letter to the Hebrews
1
1 God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
2 has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.
3 His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself made purification for our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
4 having become so much better than the angels, as he has inherited a more excellent name than they have.
5 For to which of the angels did he say at any time,
“You are my Son,
Today have I become your father?”
and again,
“I will be to him a Father,
And he will be to me a Son?”
6 Again, when he brings in the firstborn into the world he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him.”

PISMO HEBREJCEM
Bog je spregovoril po svojem Sinu
1 Velikokrat in na veliko načinov je Bog nekoč govoril očetom po prerokih, 2 v teh dneh poslednjega časa pa nam je spregovoril po Sinu. Njega je postavil za dediča vsega in po njem je tudi ustvaril svetove. 3 On je odsvit njegovega veličastva in odtis njegovega obstoja, z besedo svoje moči nosi vse. Potem ko je uresničil očiščenje od grehov, je v nebesih sédel na desno veličastja. 4 Postal je toliko višji od angelov, kolikor odličnejše ime od njihovega je dobil.
Sin je vzvišen nad angeli
5 Kateremu izmed angelov je namreč kdaj rekel:
Ti si moj sin,
danes sem te rodil?
In spet:
Jaz mu bom oče
in on mi bo sin.
6 Ko vpelje prvorojenca v svet, spet pravi:
Pred njim naj se priklonijo vsi Božji angeli.

1 Yahweh reigns!
Let the earth rejoice!
Let the multitude of islands be glad!
2 Clouds and darkness are around him.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
6 The heavens declare his righteousness.
All the peoples have seen his glory.
7 Let all them be shamed who serve engraved images,
Who boast in their idols.
Worship him, all you gods!
9 For you, Yahweh, are most high above all the earth.
You are exalted far above all gods.

PSALM 97 (96)
Bog je vzvišen nad vso zemljo
1 GOSPOD kraljuje, naj se raduje zemlja,
naj se veselijo nešteti otoki.
2 Oblak in mrak ga obdajata,
pravičnost in pravica sta temelj njegovega prestola.

6 Nebesa oznanjajo njegovo pravičnost,
vsa ljudstva vidijo njegovo slavo.
7 Vsi častilci podob so osramočeni,
vsi, ki se hvalijo z ničevnostmi,
pred njim padajo na kolena vsi bogovi.

|
9 zakaj ti, GOSPOD, si Najvišji nad vso zemljo,
zelo si vzvišen nad vsemi bogovi.
