14 Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee, and news about him spread through all the surrounding area.
15 He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
16 He came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. He entered, as was his custom, into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.
17 The book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. He opened the book, and found the place where it was written,
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
Because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim release to the captives,
Recovering of sight to the blind,
To deliver those who are crushed,
19 And to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
20 He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21 He began to tell them, “Today, this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”
22 All testified about him, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth, and they said, “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?”

JEZUSOVO DELOVANJE V GALILEJI
Jezus začne učiti
14 Jezus se je v môči Duha vrnil v Galilejo in glas o njem se je razširil po vsej okolici. 15 Učil je po njihovih shodnicah in vsi so ga slavili.
Jezusa v Nazaretu zavrnejo
16 Prišel je v Nazaret, kjer je odraščal. V soboto je po svoji navadi šel v shodnico. Vstal je, da bi bral, 17 in podali so mu zvitek preroka Izaija. Odvil je zvitek in našel mesto, kjer je bilo zapisano:
18 Duh Gospodov je nad menoj,
ker me je mazilil,
da prinesem blagovest ubogim.
Poslal me je, da oznanim jetnikom prostost
in slepim vid,
da pustim zatirane na prostost,
19 da oznanim leto, ki je ljubo Gospodu.
20 Nato je zvitek zvil, ga vrnil služabniku in sédel. Oči vseh v shodnici so bile uprte vanj. 21 In začel jim je govoriti: »Danes se je to Pismo izpolnilo, kakor ste slišali.« 22 Vsi so zanj pričevali, čudili so se besedam milosti, ki so prihajale iz njegovih ust, in govorili: »Ali ni to Jožefov sin?«

| 19 Mi ljubimo, ker nas je on prvi vzljubil. 20 Če kdo pravi: »Ljubim Boga,« pa sovraži svojega brata, je lažnivec. Kdor namreč ne ljubi svojega brata, ki ga je videl, ne more ljubiti Boga, katerega ni videl. 21 In od njega imamo to zapoved: Tisti, ki ljubi Boga, naj ljubi tudi svojega brata. |

1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Whoever loves the father also loves the child who is born of him.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep his commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous.
4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith.

Naša vera premaga svet
1 Kdor veruje, da je Jezus res Mesija, je rojen iz Boga; in vsak, kdor ljubi tistega, ki rodi, ljubi tudi tistega, ki je od njega rojen. 2 Da ljubimo Božje otroke, pa spoznamo po tem, če ljubimo Boga in izpolnjujemo njegove zapovedi. 3 To je Božja ljubezen, da se držimo njegovih zapovedi. In njegove zapovedi niso težke, 4 kajti vse, kar je rojeno iz Boga, premaga svet. In zmaga, ki premaga svet, je naša vera.

1 God, give the king your justice;
Your righteousness to the royal son.
2 He will judge your people with righteousness,
And your poor with justice.
14 He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence.
Their blood will be precious in his sight.
15 They shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba.
Men shall pray for him continually.
They shall bless him all day long.
17 His name endures forever.
His name continues as long as the sun.
Men shall be blessed by him.
All nations will call him blessed.

Kralj miru in njegovo kraljestvo
1 Salomonov psalm.
O Bog, daj svoje sodbe kralju,
svojo pravičnost kraljevemu sinu.
2 Naj sodi tvoje ljudstvo po pravičnosti,
tvoje nesrečnike po pravici.

14 Pred zatiranjem in nasiljem jih bo rešil,
v njegovih očeh bo njihova kri dragocena.
15 Naj živi, naj mu dajejo zlato iz Sabe,
zanj naj vedno kdo moli,
ves dan naj ga blagoslavlja.

17 Njegovo ime naj ostane na veke,
njegovo ime naj se širi pred soncem.
V njem naj se blagoslavljajo,
vsi narodi naj ga blagrujejo.
