12 “What do you think? If a man has one hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine, go to the mountains, and seek that which has gone astray? 13 If he finds it, most assuredly I tell you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which have not gone astray. 14 Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

12 »Kaj se vam zdi? Če ima neki človek sto ovc in ena od njih zaide, ali ne bo pustil devetindevetdesetih v gorovju in šel iskat tisto, ki je zašla? 13 In če se mu posreči, da jo najde, resnično, povem vam, se je veseli bolj kakor devetindevetdesetih, ki niso zašle. 14 Tako tudi ni volja vašega Očeta, ki je v nebesih, da bi se pogubil kateri od teh malih.«

40 1 Comfort you, comfort you my people, says your God. 2 Speak comfortably to Jerusalem; and cry to her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received of Yahweh’s hand double for all her sins. 3 The voice of one who cries, Prepare you in the wilderness the way of Yahweh; make level in the desert a highway for our God. 4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the uneven shall be made level, and the rough places a plain: 5 and the glory of Yahweh shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken it. 6 The voice of one saying, Cry. One said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the glory of it is as the flower of the field. 7 The grass withers, the flower fades, because the breath of Yahweh blows on it; surely the people is grass. 8 The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God shall stand forever. 9 You who tell good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain; you who tell good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with strength; lift it up, don’t be afraid; say to the cities of Judah, Behold, your God! 10 Behold, the Lord Yahweh will come as a mighty one, and his arm will rule for him: Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. 11 He will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and will gently lead those who have their young.

Bog bo rešil svoje ljudstvo

1 Tolažite, tolažite moje ljudstvo,
govori vaš Bog.
2 Govorite hčeri jeruzalemski na srce
in ji kličite,
da je njena tlaka dokončana,
da je njena krivda poravnana,
ker je prejela iz GOSPODOVE roke
dvojno kazen za vse svoje grehe.


3 Glas kliče:
V puščavi pripravite pot GOSPODU,
zravnajte v pustinji cesto našemu Bogu!
4 Vsaka dolina naj se vzdigne
in vsak hrib in grič naj se poniža,
kar je vijugasto, naj bo ravno,
in grebeni naj bodo ravnina.
5 Razodelo se bo GOSPODOVO veličastvo
in videlo ga bo hkrati vse meso,
kajti GOSPODOVA usta so govorila.


6 Glas pravi: »Kliči!«
Pa rečem: »Kaj naj kličem?«
»Vse meso je trava,
vsa njegova dobrota kot cvetica na polju.
7 Trava se posuši, cvetica ovene,
ko GOSPODOV dih pihne vanjo,
zares, ljudstvo je trava.
8 Trava se posuši, cvetica ovene,
beseda našega Boga pa obstane na veke.«
Hči sionska – znanilka veselja
9 Povzpni se na visoko goro,
znanilka veselja, Sion,
močno povzdigni svoj glas,
znanilka veselja, Jeruzalem,
povzdigni ga, ne boj se!
Povej Judovim mestom:
»Glejte, vaš Bog!
10 Glejte, Gospod BOG prihaja z močjo,
njegov laket vlada zanj.
Glejte, njegovo plačilo je z njim,
njegovo povračilo pred njim.
11 Kakor pastir pase svojo čredo,
jo zbira s svojim laktom,
jagnjeta nosi v svojem naročju,
počasi vodi doječe.«

Proclaim his salvation from day to day! 3 Declare his glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples. 10 Say among the nations, “Yahweh reigns.” The world is also established. It can’t be moved. He will judge the peoples with equity. 11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice. Let the sea roar, and it’s fullness! 13 Before Yahweh; for he comes, For he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, The peoples with his truth.

Kralj in sodnik vsega sveta

1 Pojte GOSPODU novo pesem,
pojte GOSPODU, vsa zemlja!
2 Pojte GOSPODU, njegovo ime slavite,
oznanjujte dan za dnem njegovo odrešenje!
3 Pripovedujte med narodi o njegovi slavi,
med vsemi ljudstvi o njegovih čudovitih delih!


10 Govorite med narodi: »GOSPOD kraljuje,
zares, trden je svet, ne bo omahnil;
ljudstva bo sodil z iskrenostjo.«
11 Naj se veselijo nebesa, zemlja naj se raduje,
naj buči morje in kar ga napolnjuje.

13 pred GOSPODOM, ker prihaja,
ker prihaja sodit zemljo.
Sodil bo svet s pravičnostjo,
ljudstva po svoji zvestobi.
