Prilika o vdovi in sodniku

1 Povedal jim je še priliko, kako morajo vedno moliti in se ne naveličati. Rekel je: 2 »V nekem mestu je bil sodnik, ki se ni bal Boga in se ni menil za človeka. 3 In v tistem mestu je bila tudi vdova, ki je prihajala k njemu in ga prosila: ›Pomagaj mi do pravice proti mojemu nasprotniku.‹ 4 Dolgo ni hotel, potem pa je rekel sam pri sebi: ›Čeprav se ne bojim Boga in se ne menim za človeka, 5 bom tej vdovi, ker me nadleguje, vendarle pomagal do pravice, da me ne bo s svojim prihajanjem izmučila do konca.‹« 6 In Gospod je rekel: »Poslušajte, kaj pravi krivični sodnik! 7 Mar Bog ne bo pomagal do pravice svojim izvoljenim, ki noč in dan vpijejo k njemu? Bo mar odlašal? 8 Povem vam: Hitro jim bo pomagal do pravice. Toda ali bo Sin človekov, ko pride, našel vero na zemlji?«

112 ¹ Praise Yah! Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh, Who delights greatly in his commandments. ² His seed will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed. ³ Wealth and riches are in his house. His righteousness endures forever. ⁴ Light dawns in the darkness for the upright, Gracious, merciful, and righteous. ⁵ It is well with the man who deals graciously and lends. He will maintain his cause in judgment. ⁶ For he will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever.
