Pogovarjala sta se o vsem tem, kar se je zgodilo. In medtem ko sta se pogovarjala in razpravljala, se jima je približal sam Jezus in hodil z njima. Njune oči pa so bile zastrte, da ga nista spoznala.  Rekel jima je:
