15 Yahweh your God will raise up to you a prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, like me; to him you shall listen; ¹⁶ according to all that you desired of Yahweh your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of Yahweh my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I not die. ¹⁷ Yahweh said to me, They have well said that which they have spoken. ¹⁸ I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him. ¹⁹ It shall happen, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. ²⁰ But the prophet, who shall speak a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who shall speak in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.

He who is unmarried is concerned for the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord; ³³ but he who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife. ³⁴ There is also a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world—how she may please her husband. ³⁵ This I say for your own profit; not that I may ensnare you, but for that which is appropriate, and that you may attend to the Lord without distraction.

Nov nauk, nauk z oblastjo? Celo nečistim duhovom ukazuje in so mu pokorni!« ²⁸ In glas o njem se je hitro razširil po vsej okolici v Galileji.

Tako govori Gospod, Izraelov Bog: ‚Mazilil sem te za kralja nad Izraelom in te rešil iz Savlove roke. ¹⁰ Zato se nikdar ne umakne meč od tvoje hiše. Kajti zaničeval si me in vzel ženo Hetejca Urija, da bodi tvoja žena.‘ ¹¹ Tako govori Gospod: ‚Glej, spravil bom nesrečo nadte, iz tvoje hiše. Vzel bom tvoje žene pred tvojimi očmi ter jih dal tvojemu bližnjemu, da bo pri tvojih ženah pred očmi tega sonca. ¹² Ti si sicer delal na skrivnem, jaz pa bom to storil pred vsem Izraelom in pred soncem.‘« ¹³ Tedaj je David rekel Natanu: »Grešil sem zoper Gospoda.« Natan je Davidu odgovoril: »Gospod ti tudi odpušča greh; ne boš umrl. ¹⁴ Toda ker si s tem dejanjem pohujšal Gospodove sovražnike, bo umrl sin, ki se ti je rodil.« ¹⁵ Nato je odšel Natan domov. Gospod pa je otroka, ki ga je rodila Urijeva žena Davidu, udaril z boleznijo. ¹⁶ David je zaradi dečka prosil Boga; David se je strogo postil in kadar je prišel domov, je ležal čez noč na tleh. ¹⁷ Starešine njegove hiše so pristopili k njemu in ga silili, da bi vstal od tal, pa ni hotel; tudi ni nič jedel z njimi.

³⁵ Ko se je tisti dan zvečerilo, jim je rekel: »Prepeljimo se na drugo stran!« ³⁶ In pustili so množico ter ga odpeljali s seboj v čolnu, kakor je bil; in še drugi čolni so bili z njim. ³⁷ In nastal je silen vihar in valovi so pljuskali v čoln, tako da je čoln že zalivalo. ³⁸ On pa je bil na krmi in je na vzglavnici spal. Zbudijo ga in mu rečejo: »Učenik, ti ni mar, da se utapljamo?« ³⁹ In vstal je, zapretil vetru in rekel morju:

»Utihni, umíri se!«

In veter je ponehal in nastala je velika tišina. ⁴⁰ In rekel jim je: »Kaj ste tako boječi? Kako, da še nimate vere?« ⁴¹ In velik strah jih je prevzel in so govorili med seboj: »Kdo neki je ta, da sta mu pokorna veter in morje?«

8. Upodobi moje srce po svojem Srcu (3)

Če bomo gledali Jezusovo prebodeno srce in druge njegove rane, nas bo to moralo prepričati o neizmerni Odrešenikovi ljubezni do nas. Globlje bomo spoznali resničnost Jezusovega stavka:

»Nihče nima večje ljubezni, kakor je ta, da dá življenje za svoje prijatelje« (Jn 15,13Jn 15,13

Odprli se bomo Jezusovemu Srcu in se dali oblikovati po njem. Le on sam nas more s svojo ljubeznijo tako spremeniti, da bo naše srce postalo podobno njegovemu presvetemu Srcu, da bo začelo nesebično ljubiti. Arški župnik sv. Janez Vianney je oznanjal:

»Razpoznavno znamenje izvoljenih je ljubezen,

kakor je znamenje pogubljenih sovraštvo.«

V litanijah Srca Jezusovega se obračamo na Srce Jezusovo z vzklikom:

»Srce Jezusovo, bogato za vse, ki te kličejo.«

Obrnimo se nanj z zaupanjem:

Jezus krotki in iz srca ponižni, upodobi naše srce po svojem Srcu.
